This is an excellent squaring of the issue. Details almost no longer matter. Cohen has left enough of a trail to back up the basic points of the story and give it validity. Avanatti knows that.

But 60 Minutes is notoriously known by the Right as a left wing nonsense program. I will heartily bet that his 40% is not watching a word of it, will never hear about this and, if they do, will turn to Faux Noise who will either not cover it, or thoroughly discredit it -why would any of them believe a hooker over their Dear Leader.
So I will take away that most viewers already knew some of this, with few real surprises revealed,
