Probably not the first to offer this comment, but here goes:
60 Minutes employs defamation lawyers. You can’t just go on 60 Minutes and say defamatory things without justification–i.e., without offering proof of what you’re alleging. Otherwise 60 Minutes gets sued and loses. This would be especially the case when you’re dealing with someone as litigious as Trump.
When Daniels says, in an interview about Trump and his conduct relating to their affair, that a goon threatened me and told me to stay away from Trump, the statement means two things, one express and one implied:
(1) the encounter happened as described; and
(2) the goon was sent or authorized by Trump or someone acting on Trump’s behalf.
That means that 60 Minutes’ lawyers feel confident that they could prove meaning (2) in court–which perhaps explains why Cooper asked her if she could recognize the man, an odd leading question to ask, and Daniels answering so firmly that she could. Methinks Ms. Daniels has been show some photographs and has picked out the goon’s face.
I heard that the news that Shulkin’s was going to be fired was leaked shortly before the interview with Ms. Daniels. I am thinking that Kelly, Mattis, McGahn, Zinke, Carson might also be gone by tomorrow. They were part of an omnibus personnel action plan drawn up by Iwanka and Kushner that previously also included McMaster.
It’s the Aristocratics! Ron Jeremy grew up in Bayside Queens where his birth name was Ron Hyatt. It’s always amusing to see the family friendly Queens local weekly papers issues yearly of the Best of Queens and famous people from Queens give Ron a profile.
