Democratic candidates need to learn a couple of basic lessons:
- Republican voters are never going to vote for you. Ever.
- Acting like a Republican in campaign ads turns off your base. Even more so when you act like a Republican in office.
- There is no such thing as a ‘undecided’ voter. These folks have decided who they would vote for, they are only undecided about whether to show up to vote.
You would think that Democrats would have learned these lessons from the last two Presidential campaigns. Especially after Hillary lost the primary in 2008 by peddling Republican lite while Obama ran on being a Democrat.

Wait…you mean Democrats should do something innovative like actually running on what they want to do and defending their values rather than letting the Republicans smear them?
