How incredibly sad that it takes a comedian to point this out. He’s right; politicians are soooo concerned with Ebola because it is risky and kills. Yet many of these same people shrug at gun control or fight people having the ability to get healthcare. The absurdity in all this is so depressing.
Meanwhile Germany now offers FREE college education. Thom Hartmann discussed this on his radio show yesterday, pointing out how it’s an investment in the future. The more educated one is, the more likely they will earn more money and thus pay more in taxes, which in turn offers more services like free college education - see, it’s a cycle. Yet you can best believe that will never happen here, because… FREEDOM.
