Stewart shot back: “We’re not in a court of law are we?”
“That doesn’t mean the truth doesn’t apply, my brother,” Cuomo said.
So I take it the Corey dude already has his legal defense fund in place? Picked him out some “good” lawyers and all that?

Lack of knowledge? As a region the South leads or is near the top (or bottom, in a negative context) in a slew of negative traits. Obesity, STD infections, high scool dropouts, maternal mortality during childbirth, infectious diseases, educational test scores, rates of uninsured citizens, homelessness, cigarette consumption, domestic violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, DUIs, stillbirths, median incomes, home ownership, on and on and on. And if you notice many or most of these shortcomings could be fixed by electing legislators and Governors that placed the welfare of their constituents at the top of their priority list. Yet people of the South consistently elect people that assure their citizens will remain mired in the aforementioned list of maladies and misery. These are people we’re supposed to have some sort of sympathy for? People that generation after generation trek to the polls and vote for their own undoing? Color me unimpressed
Ever try to wean someone from a drug or a habit they habitually proved to everyone they were going to pursue come hell or high water? It’s usually a waste of your time. You have to be met part of the way or you’re beating your head aganst the wall. Southerners, by voting again and again against their own best interests, are the alcoholic that refuses to put down the bottle in the face of everyone pleading with them not to drink themselves to death. Sometimes you have to identify the hopeless and leave them to their graves, there are others more deserving of your efforts.
This is a war. Triage is called for.
Yeah. This guy bores me already. If he thinks the Trump approach is going to work for him, he’s very mistaken. All anger like his hero, but without any sort of entertainment value.

This guy hails from Minnesota & recently defended the confederate flag as not racist, or about hatred or divisive, but a defense of our “heritage”. Really. He’s so over the top to which I reply “good”, since nothing will boost the blue turnout in VA more.

I do think highlighting Corey Stewart as the face of the GOP as a Trumpist party and defeating him could be key to framing the GOP and the Democrats as the opposition to that insanity. Suburbs have seen a strong shift to Democrats in the Trump era. We could expand that shift across the nation.

This illustrates the republican party’s problem. It’s now the trump party and only trumpers are going to advance through the primaries. It’s tea party on steroids. They’ve doubled-down on a losing strategy. IF there are any decent republicans left, they’re sitting out the primaries. Those that do decide to vote in the general might very well vote against the trumpers. This is clearly a party of racists now.
I just hope there are not enough trumpers to elect one of theirs in a general election.

Nah. Forced secession, followed by a blanket trade embargo and a rigidly enforced quarantine. North retains the rights to use navigable waterways. In a hundred years the South could be depended upon to further desend into disrepair, eventually rendering the region uninhabitable through negligence, disease and the resulting infertilty. Sometime in the 2200s the region would be reacquired, as it would be barren and mostly depopulated, ready for a proper cultivation of resources and residency.
