No. If the top 1% don’t get the lions share Republicans won’t lift a finger. Of course in the long run the top 1% is going to be just as screwed as the rest of us if we don’t have money to consume the goods and services that are being created, and they will be the first people marched off in the event of violent revolution, so it really is in their best interests to make sure all of us share in the benefits of deindustrialization and globalization.
