We talk a bit and it might not be news that I have a skeptical turn of mind, and that kicked in regarding the idea that the caravan is a scam, but I’m tapping the brakes on the skepticism right now. It wouldn’t be that hard to instigate. I have to think it would be revealed eventually, but it’s like O’Keefe’s idiocy; people will believe if they’re inclined to. I don’t like the post-truth world much—not many skeptics do, I think. Luckily the cocktail hour approaches.

and @mattinpa - I hear you. I know you’re skeptical. So is inversion. But we also know that despite Trump’s adorable Nationalism, this is an international movement that is hooked up through the internet, through Breitbart, through 4chan. Putin has made things happen in this country so it’s hardly that far fetched that someone could have had a hand in setting this off in a tinderbox like Central America.
