Discussion: Spicer Tweets Baffling Defense Of Obamacare Repeal Efforts

Poor, poor Sean. He’s a dim bulb and “flickering.”

Spicer: “28.2M Americans are still waiting under #Obamacare and remain uninsured. They need relief now.”

Obviously Spicey defines “relief” as doubling the misery, as under the GOP/Trump healthcare proposal, 22 milion MORE will be without health insurance.

Spicey is obviously as batshit crazy as his boss. . . .or just as much of a liar!

Remind me please just how many votes Spicer has in Congress? Thanks, I can go on ignoring his bleating. He’s just doing his Master’s bidding, anyhow. I choose not to focus on whatever either one of them has to say, tweet or lie about.

I figured that was the whole problem with Spicer’s claim. Shame on you, Sean. Your omission counts as a lie. Figures.

I take it he’s on the phone with his shrink in that photo.

And they were all so proud of their dick measuring results - the numbers were so impressively large…

…until they found it they were in centimeters.

I’m thinking that Mr. Covfeve doesn’t understand BRCA.

He’s not sending that to us. He’s sending it to the base(est) of Hair Fuhrer. He’s banking on them seeing the 28.2 number and then saying, “SEE! 28.2 is more than 22, 23 or 24 million! So Obummercare is WORSE!” He’s banking on the non-critical thinking crowd.

It’s just Spicer deploying the Trump administrations PR strategy of tweeting something so incredibly stupid that whatever point he thinks he was making (which is actually the opposite of what he thinks it is) is thoroughly overshadowed by the publicity that gets generated over how stupid the tweet itself was. It’s a lose-lose, but this is Trump’s White House so it’s expected.

OK. How about persuading the 19 states that are holding out on Medicaid expansion to go ahead and do it?

I have played with the idea that if your standard form of communicating has become talking points, sound bites and/or jargon, then it diminishes your ability to think any deeper than spewing probable nonsense. You have become well-trained at lazy thinking, and now it’s habit. That’s what a lot of political folk tend to do. Like Bobby Jindal saying that if only people would have had guns ready when the guy opened fire in the movie theater, they could have stopped him, because that’s the go-to Republican talking point. So… people in a DARKENED movie theater hear gunfire, and, what, 7 more jump up and start shooting at people they can dimly make out who are also firing guns while others are running out? What could go wrong with that? But the knee-jerk reaction from Republicans for any shooting is more guns would have helped, so Jindal no could longer even begin to think through what that would really mean. And wasn’t he a Rhodes scholar?

He’s clearly trying to trick the rubes into thinking 28mm > 22mm.

What’s horrible is how stupid they think their followers are. What’s scary is that they are probably right.

Why Donald Trump can’t make deals in Washington. The big problem is he has no idea what he’s talking about.

The really cognizant people of the republican right wing understand that if an institution like NSF or CBO says something, pretty much the opposite has to be true. It’s like in the declining years of Brezhnev’s Russia – if Pravda started publishing articles about plane crashes in the west, that meant a plane had crashed in the Moscow suburbs. These guys are really good at seeing the truth behind the fake news about climate and budgets and so on, and reading the tea leaves that show a bright future despite all those gloomy gusses and statisticians and “scientists”. Red Team wins, just so long as they “proceed with the certainty of a sleepwalker” as a great leader once said about himself. If we just let the rich get rich enough, they will save everybody out of an abundance of goodness born of their sense of safety and ease. One need look no further than Trump himself for an example of the virtues wealth bestows.

So…

The Trump Administration is concerned about health care coverage? Then why does the administration support the GOP attempts at repeal of Obamacare? Why does Trump refuse to make the existing program work? What is in Trump’s mind beyond tax cuts for the wealthy?

Sean Spicer doesn’t have a clue about what Trump supports. He’s “out of the loop” here. I guess I could be more sympatico with Sean Spicer if only he hadn’t signed on to support a rapist world eater.

Trump is little more than an open maw, consuming everything in sight. He has no intention of supporting his voters, they’re little more than fools, suckers, who continue to feed his ego and his bank accounts while he rapes them, removing their human dignity, not to mention all of their expectations and hopes.

Trump supporters? Mindless feed for their guy. Fools. Losers. Suckers.

Trump supporters will suffer more under his presumed policies than anyone else in the world. Do we need to accommodate them? Obama tried to, and they rejected his help. Obviously.

So we’re left with yet another mess for the left to clean up, a la Carter, Clinton, and Obama, complicated by the fact that unlimited money is available to the right.

Sean Spicer - and millions of others - go fuck yourselves and die.

America used to be a place where middle-class people could afford health care, unlimited education, and a dignified retirement. Make it so again, or go fuck yourselves and die.

That’s the limit of my sympathy with Sean Spicer.

I wondered the same thing. Reminds me of people in earlier centuries believing the touch of the king would cure scrofula, since the king ruled by divine right.

I saw this during the campaign. It’s some right wing inter-denominational outfit “praying on” Trump after he sought their endorsement.
