Discussion: Spicer: Trump Was Using 'Military' As An 'Adjective' To Describe Deportations

Might need to nuke the whole store, haul off the radioactive soil and debris, let it sit for a few centuries, and then maybe rebuild something on the smoking ruins.

Trumpsplaining. It’s a thing.

That has to be the stupidest explanation for misspeaking I’ve ever seen.

Spicer said Trump misspoke when he used “military” as an adjective. What he meant to say was this is the first Blitzkrieg of the Endlösung.

Spicer should be asked if Trump knows what an Adjective is?

Military (dictionary.com):adjective
1. of, for, or pertaining to the army or armed forces, often as distinguished from the navy:
from civilian to military life.
2. of, for, or pertaining to war:
military preparedness.
3. of or relating to soldiers.
4. befitting, characteristic of, or noting a soldier:
a military bearing.
5.following the life of a soldier:
a military career.
6. performed by soldiers:
military duty.

Though my favorite is currently: military junta.
Maybe I’ll send Spicey a note.

This “military” nomenclature is a legal thing: 45 stepped into a pile of legal crap describing ICE as military because the military are constrained by posse commetus (no domestic actions). Spicer walks back “military” to being an adjective to avoid lawsuits. IANAL

“The President was using that as an adjective. It’s happening with precision and in a manner in which it’s being done very, very clearly,” Spicer told reporters at his press briefing.

So he uses the work loosely, without any clear meaning, but I’m supposed to believe the operation is going “precisely” and “very, very clearly”?

Does Spicer even listen to himself?

A well-oiled downhill snowball…

If a private citizen uses the phrase “military precision” or “military efficiency” to describe a smooth operation, everyone knows what it means.

Even if a government official uses the term “military precision,” it can still be finessed.

But if a high-level government official, like someone pretending to be president, describes something as a “military operation,” that is not a description of efficiency.

It’s a a description of martial law.

Also, fuck you, Spicer.

Don’t give them any ideas, especially given how many former generals are working in this administration.

“The President was using [military] as an adjective. It’s happening with precision and in a manner in which it’s being done very, very clearly,” like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or the original agent orange in Vietnam.
