Discussion: Spicer On Hitler Gaffe: 'I Think I've Let The President Down' (VIDEO)

This brain fart probably lasted close to 18 minutes. I suppose someone could just erase it.

Hmm, I wonder what Melissa McCarthy is doing this weekend…

Yes, Sean, we all know people make mistakes. That’s the bottom line why you have the boss you have. A giant mistake of epic proportions, carried out in the voting booth by people who should’ve known better but somehow didn’t.

“Spicer added later that he thought he had let President Donald Trump down”

That’s your exit card Spicer, don’t blow it. Time to thank DT for the honor of serving in the best Republican administration since Abraham “Most people don’t even know he was a Republican” Lincoln, swallow whatever passes for pride in your world, and move on.

If he dares hold another daily brief, reporters should walk out of it. Not all of them will, of course – but one would hope enough media outlets would authorize their reporters to do that once.

What he said is indefensible.

You are fine Spiceman.
You are living proof that all the Trumpsters have working lobotomies.

I am so stumped at his use of the words" Holocaust Centers". words mean something don’t they? what does this description tell you? Gas chambers concentration Camps are the proper words. Spicer used a very anti Semitic anti Hollocaust expression. will any Journalist ask him where and how and why he used that description its so obvious I am infuriated!!!

on a professional level it’s disappointing because I think I’ve let the president down

I’m thinking an herbal tea selection and, possibly, muffins.

Third to last paragraph of this article needs a significant edit.

Not true at all, Sean. You’re a shining example of everything Trump stands for: Ignorance, puerility, hypocrisy, a general disdain for other human beings…

Actually, Sean, you let the country down. You promised to tell the truth and every day you go out and try and put unbelievable lipstick-spin on this pig of an administration. People used to respect you, man. Stop trying to impress the orange buffoon. Resign. Get your dignity back.

Josh is 100% spot on about this. It’s ALL self-inflicted. If they weren’t constantly trying to turn everything into a PR stunt by pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes with counter-factual doublethink and Orwellian rationalizations, they wouldn’t have this problem. On top of it, Spicer’s just not Goebbles enough to pull any of it off. That kind of twisted bullshit splatter takes a deft mind, hyper-articulate speech and at least a decently broad and deep knowledge base, so you know not where to tread, etc. Spicer lacks any of that. As a result, he basically functions as our canary in the lie mine.

Trump is the proverbial “Monkey at a Typewriter”; given enough time, it’s statistically possible something great might be produced, but really just gibberish and flung feces.

His rambling, backpedaling, lurching, staggering shambles of crackpot argument can be summarized as:

Assad is as bad or worse than Hitler because Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons, I mean he didn’t use them on his own people, I mean he didn’t use them on innocent…I mean he didn’t drop them on cities. Uhhhhhh wait, whoops…nevermind, forget the whole thing.

Even Alex Jones is WTF ?

And talking about “letting Donald down”, maybe Mulvaney should watch out ?

First we go to Jewish Community Centers and then we go to Holocaust Centers. It’s just the way things work.
