Discussion: Spicer: All 100 Senators To Be Briefed On North Korea At White House

Yeah! And what about Jared?

They will come before the King and do him homage.
They will feel awe at the great sage.
They will tremble at the mighty Warrior King’s greatness!
And when the King withdraws, the will verily say unto each other, “151 shooters for everyone; Lord but we are so royally fucked.”

congressional aides were working with the White House to schedule a similar briefing for members of the House of Representatives.

Ryan will do anything to avoid a House vote on the nonexistent AHCA 2.0 that "gets better and better and better, and it has gotten really, really good.”

Indeed, verily so.

Yes, it’s more word of the day. Verily.

Well, when you have no legislative achievements, no policy about anything and are in need of a “win,” a military confrontation with an unstable regime is the most obvious choice.

And then there’s North Korea.

Media Whores are standing by.

Putin did a good job of pushing the US out of competition for the next hundred years when he finagled his puppet into the WH. China won’t let Trumpsky nuke their NK ally without retaliation against us. When Mr. Kim acts as if he has already got ICBM and functional warheads, he means China will jump in again. So no, it will not be a matter of our sons and daughters going off to some bumfuckistan theatre of war. The leaders of these two nations are nuts. I live exactly between two national labs and awfully damn close to a nuclear weapons repository. So unless there is at least one intervention, I probably will just see a blinding flash. Don’t hoard your good liquor too long folks.

Exactly.

The stupidity of this kabuki is amazing. If this is not a White House briefing, then why is it not being held in the Senate, where that body meets and is the appropriate venue?

Anything to get the media heathers to act like this is actually something and that the worthless Trump administration is “doing things”.

What a joke.

In a fair world, Josh might get a Pulitzer for Trump’s Razor. Look at his new piece about the upcoming shutdown. Stupid is as stupid does and you just haven’t seen stupid until you’ve seen this administration.

Will Jared run off to the war zones again in his blazer?
[/quote]That’s Commander Kush, and don’t you forget it, justruss.

Next time? I heard he’s going in these awesome khakis, they’re from Prada.

South Korea’s response: " It’s not our war, we’re just serving as the location."

I’ll repeat what I just put on another thread since I didn’t catch this one in time to see it would be more appropriate to post this here:

Every time you think this crowd of dumbshit Republicans couldn’t raise the ante any higher to distract from their general complicity in fucking up the government with some foreign power entanglements from Russia, they go one step further on the scale of outrageousness. Now it seems they’re beating the drums of war. The only thing that will justify not getting a fucking thing done in Congress on time this week is if these bastards declare a hot war against N. Korea and pull some off the cuff action to make matters worse. These people are itching for blowing up shit. Look how many kudos these fools gave Trump for sending 59 bombs into Syria and setting off the mother of all fucking bombs in Afghanistan. They can’t seem to restrain themselves from further chest pounding. Its unnerving how out of control they appear to be. I wonder if they’ll be anyone taking the minutes or keeping a Congressional record at this gathering. Seeing how it won’t be in Congress, maybe they aren’t required to.

I think it’s more like 100 Senator’s will be “pantsed” at White House.

I was thinking as I dejectedly walked home for lunch, looking up at the sky to catch a fleeting glimpse of Earth 1, that of course we need a military conflict: this is what we get with Republicans.

They’re going to wreck the economy, again, and get us involved in a military clash because, like the scorpion stinging the frog, it’s their nature.

These motherfuckers are worse than the Borg. Never in my life have I viscerally hated people like the way I hate these scumbags. And there are not enough adequate words in our language to describe them.

No shit…I’d like to see Tillerson do one thing beyond what he feels like doing at his job. I’ve never seen such a pampered privileged Secretary of State. He really doesn’t think he is accountable to the American people.

In such dire times, all one can do is lift their eyes to the heavens and ask:

What Would Ivanka Do?

First off, because they are practicing the ritual of dominance. Trump won’t go to the Congress and lay down his path to war with North Korea, he will make them come to HIM.

And I fully expect, that is exactly what this will be. Not an actual declaration of war, but the laying down of the path that gets us there, with demands, both aimed at provoking North Korea and probably a few that are just outlandish that guarantee they will fail to meet them (If a North Korean breathes, we will go to war),

Nor should anyone expect Trump to go to Congress to address them when he does declare war. He will make a television appearance and that’s it. Nevermind the by now decrepit and overused AUMF on the “War of Terror” doesn’t even cover such a war…Trump will defy Congress because, that’s who he is, and how all his staff see things.

JHC he could of gone Reagan and invade the island of Grenada, again? Or Cuba, just 90 miles south, he had to go full batshit crazy.

Jared is avant-garde1. He’s scouting the next one.
1-Not derriere-garde. I didn’t say that. I did see it hinted at, but that was just in a supermarket throwaway.

A rather weak bit of theater too.

If Trump really wanted to show them who’s the boss he’d have summoned the whole Senate down to Mar-a-Lago for the briefing!

Sounds like a very real possibility to me.
