Strom had this reputation in DC and in South Carolina for many years.
Judicial branch problems too. This article is about a Canadian judge, but could be many places in USA
A judge ā¦ has come under fire after remarking in court that a 17-year-old who said she was sexual assaulted was a ālittle overweight but has a pretty faceā and that she may have been a ābit flatteredā by the attention.
The line was, IIRC, that they would have to crush a certain body part to get him in his coffin.
Yep, that would be the elegant Old South all right.
Absolutely, co-signed.
ALL Governments are a breeding ground .
Accuracy of celebritiesā and politiciansā reputations are important, sure. And call me unsurprised to find Congress the most appallingly retrograde cesspool of all. But 1 in 4 middle school kids report being sexually harassed at school. So the education has to start well before then, and work places have to be set up with controls in place, to make sure a pigās power is limited.
And the folks in SC admired him for that!
First, Speier is right about Congress and the lack of accountability.
Second, I just read the New Yorker article on Weinstein. By the time I reached the end, I was sick to my stomach. And itās not just from reading about what Weinstein did. (Yes, I believe the allegations.) Itās also that I feel that I have been hiding from myself the ugliness and worse that women are subjected to, and the rage that has to be kept inside. Iāve known - but now feel that I did not really know. That rage and fear and shame have spilled out in vivid ways - and I feel it.
Third, I have a daughter.
Hopefully these deviants arenāt literally breeding, especially with the unwilling.
The harassment stories at far from over and we still have a few surprises coming at us I believe.
I lived in her District until just a month ago.I went to a town hall she held around 2000 or so when she was a State Senator, and I got to ask her a question about the budget crisis the state was facing at that time. She answered it very honestly and directly, which I found impressive.
Agree . Also, on a different level, the blatant sexism and misogyny by the media toward Hillary. Women have been awakened. The march, the push back against Sanders at Women Convention. ā¦ Hillary in her book addressses the sexism and misogyny head on after letting it slide for decades.
I realze sexism and misogyny are not the severe crime of the assaults and Trump admission and bragging about it, but it does add to the overall awakening of women and their organizing to fight back.
āI realze sexism and misogyny are not the severe crime of the assaultsā
True, but they are foundational of such crimes.
