The words of Edward R. Murrow during the McCarthy era are true about Trump. It’s about time Republicans stood up to the threat he poses:

“No one man can terrorize a whole nation unless we are all his accomplices.”

I always thought it was some kind of drug. Ain’t that why they always talk about methodist heads?

Why, his bravery must have been perfected while he was leading all those commando raids in the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile against those godless Wisconsin burger lovers!

Oh, no. I want the GOP to embrace The Donald as tightly as possible. I want to hear Reince Priebus girlishly squeal, “Oh, Donald, hold me tight with your tiny little baby-doll hands!”
SWOON!

These guys are going to be miserable all summer answering questions about Trump and having to defend him. They deserve all the misery they can get.

But he still endorses his candidacy?

Ryan: “I got nothing for you today.”

Or, in fact, for any of the other 237 days he’s been Speaker.

Ryan grinned, clearly a bit tired of the Trump questions.

“Next question,” Ryan said.

What do you think about religious tests in politics?

Not denouncing the demagoguery is the same as endorsing it.

Representative Democracy at its best. The leader of the Republican Party refuses to divulge to the citizenry his thoughts or opinons on the statements of the Presidential nominee of his party.

I understand Ryan’s reluctance to have to defend everything that Trump says. But, come on, Trump’s attack on Clinton’s faith is so out of bounds and inappropriate (not to mention based on nothing whatsoever) that is is incumbent on Ryan and every other decent political figure in the GOP to speak out against this. This is Ryan’s party’s nominee and he is “supporting” Trump, so silence on this is tantamount to tolerating this behavior. That’s unacceptable. Ryan should see it as his moral duty to speak out.

Paul Ryan has been getting almost as much done as John Boehner.

Paul Ryan has said it all when he endorsed Donald Tramp. I don’t understand what reporters gain by asking him pesky Tramp-tweet questions.
