“White Radio Host Calls Black Teens At Texas Pool Party ‘Jungle Animals’”

And that guy thinking it’s OK to broadcast such a comment, is what’s wrong with this country.

So… a 14 year old black girl is a “party animal,” but a 14 year old Duggar is just “curious?”

Not to mention completely innocent and cradled to Jesus’s bosom.

A dozen generations of white southern religion justifying and reinforcing slavery and segregation doesn’t get turned around by a Federal statute and a few court cases and Martin Luther King Day. White southerners (and their northern counterparts) have learned to say how they’ve put all that racism behind them and things are fine now. But just talk to your local white policemen after they’ve had a few beers, and the same language about animals and lazy shiftless blacks will spew to the surface from too many of them. Not all, but a disappointingly large percentage of otherwise decent-seeming people. Because this is what lower middle class whites have been taught, now quietly and at home with their family and at school and work with their peers instead of publicly. The 150 years of the white economic boycott of black people in the US continues to exact the expected toll, and whites rightfully continue to fear blacks because blacks know the score and they know the game is rigged.

No thanks. Reading it was bad enough.

That’s always the interesting thing about these sorts of incidences. You’d think conservatives would be all for arming the teens in this video. An out-of-control and abusive police officer is the same thing as out-of-control and abusive (read: tyrannical) government. Isn’t that what all the gun nuts think the 2nd Amendment exists for? It’s almost like…something about these videos of black people getting beaten up and killed by white officers is somehow different. I’m not sure why though. A great mystery, it is.

Can’t tell if this is from an actual conservative pundit or a Stephen Colbert bit.

And cue the attached Reddit of cops bitching about idiots calling 911 because someone in their neighborhood is black.

It’s heartening to see the cops bitching about it and talking about how shitty it makes them feel, but it’s also deeply depressing to hear variation after variation of about a black guy getting the cops called on him again and again for using the amenities or sidewalks of the development he moved into.

Some obscure reactionary named Michael Berry. These radio hosts all say the same thing. What difference does it make?

Or, you know, the cops could just calmly approach the teens and ask who has the pool pass and who is there with whomever has those passes. And if he really wanted to be a stickler, he could ask anybody not there as a guest of a person with a pass to leave. But let’s not pretend uninvited white teens would get that same treatment 100% of the time.

Anyway, this might be preferable to showing up and treating everybody like suspects in a drug raid.

American exceptionalism personified!

Well doesn’t that just make so much sense?

The man seems to be at best unbalanced, at worst a potential addition to FOX.

It’s heartbreaking how often RWNJs spew the most vitriolic racism/misogyny/homophobia as if it’s just the most obvious common sense.

If he paid someone to keep this incident quite it could be called the Hastert Rule.

So the women starting this were afraid after hitting a child?
Yeah, retaliation can be a problem.
When is this woman going to be brought up on charges?

“Oh my God! There’s a bunch of black people and they’re out
on the streets and they’re fightin’ and carryin’ on and they’re playing
that music from Jay-Z,” Berry said. “They’re scared to death!

Oh my Grits! There’s 11% of the population and they’re going to take over!

“… watch ‘em! Man, they’re screaming! ‘Get outta here! Who are you?! You don’t know what you! You go! You get! Who are you?! You can’t do that! No man, we gon’ get you! You bet — !’ I mean you’re talking about like jungle animals. I mean this is wild, crazy, out of control.”

There is Ritalin for your attention deficit problem, radio guy. It will help you complete a sentence, or at least a thought.

There’s nothing conservative about racist radicals, whether commentators or politicians. Stop abusing that world, or go to work for the Ministry of Truth.
