Yes. This cannot be said too loudly or too often today–and not just for the usual political schadenfreude.

How about voting to abolish the debt limit completely? It’s a stupid idea and this threat should be banished once and for all.

Will you raise the minimum wage while you’re at it?

Raising the debt ceiling now is a fucking no-brainer. Therefore, its the whole reason the Republicans in the House and probably the Senate as well, will not do it. They have even less than the accumulated IQ of what consists of a genuine no-brainer.

HAHAHAHAHA…Reid just LOVES to jab them in the nuts when he sees an opening lol…classic trolling and I love it.

“Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who is Reid’s presumed successor”

God, I hope not. Schumer craps Wall Street jizz.

Too bad Pelosi can’t find 31 “sane” Republicans like Dent, and forge a “Sanity Coalition” and stage a coup d’etat against the Confederate Crazies.

THIS. If Boehner gives a shit about this country he’ll do this one thing before he goes out to pasture.

Won’t happen. He’s got a family to protect.

It was for awhile. Republicans brought it back because they lamented the loss of the marvelous grandstanding opportunity. That’s back when the average republican Caucus IQ was still >=100 of course.

Let’s put it up for a vote now, Mr. Boehner, you’ve got nothing left to lose.

“If Congress waits around for the Republican Family Feud to resolve itself, we’ll risk a government shutdown and defaulting on our national debt. It’s time for the responsible members of the Republican Party to work with Democrats and forge a bipartisan budget deal, take the threat of default off the table, and protect middle class families from economic disaster.”

I hope you cleared this statement with Bibi first.

Republicans should start acting their age instead of their shoe size.

I can see Schumer remaining my Senator for the foreseeable future.

As Senate Democratic leader? I’d say he pretty much crapped all over that chance.

Yep. Before Boner hits the golf course/bottle, he needs to work with Pelosi make sure the government actually runs for the next 15 months. Because it ain’t gonna happen after Oct. 31.
