Wow. That was pretty close – less than a mile. Must be very close in age, too, as I was a '79 HS grad and university freshman.
Coming up on 57 at the end of the month. My sister will be 60. Mom and dad lived in Raleigh during the 50 when dad commuted to Wake Forest to go to Wake Forest College. He graduated the last year it was in Wake Forest, before they moved to Winston Salem. The seminary portion stayed in Wake Forest.
