I have a friend who designs regional insurance plans for a major insurer. They are Not Happy with this crap.

In other news, Blue Cross of North Carolina reduces insurance rates for 2019 by 4.1%.
However:

“Blue Cross says it could have lowered average rates by another 18 percent if Congress and the Trump Administration hadn’t eliminated the penalty for people who don’t buy health [insurance],” Spectrum noted.

Also, US Steel reported earnings last week and lost a smidgen over ten percent of their stock value. Their stock has given up all of its gains since December 2017. It closed Friday at $32.30. It peaked at over $45.00 at the end of February this year. So much winning.

You would do better to buy a veterinary health plan for yourself. Nothing will be covered with a Trump plan including visits to Walgreen clinics unless scheduled between Midnight and 3 a.m.

The man who thinks everyone needs to show a photo ID to get food believes all of his TrumpCare plans will include unlimited plastic surgery and botox treatments. Even a terminally ill person needs to look good above all else?

Having the old-style policies for comparison could be a great thing for the ACA politically. At the mere cost of thousands of lives.

Cruel.

Consider who benefits from this, and who bears the costs.

We should ALL say NO to every GOPer running for ANY office in November 2018!

Fine print constitutres everything in a TrumpCare policy. Does Blue Cross of North Carolina still cover preventative medicine or those with pre-existing conditions? How high did they raise the annual deductible before consumers get anything covered?

There is no productivity measures left that will increase profits in this country even for industries like steel which are now being bolstered by protectionism. The vulture capitalists have squeezed the life out of all their human resources. All that is left is to cut executive compensation which isl never going to happen as long as the Top 1% doles out dark money to the GOP.

And it’s also the reason Trump imposed the tariffs on these specific products. Corruption rules everything in a banana republic. That’s what we now are. Thank you, Ronnie Raygun.

Yay for the “Something Terrific” plans! The “ST Gold-Plated FANTASTIC Plan” covers bone spurs, hair loss, possibly gout; sadly brain damage is preexisting.

“unless scheduled between Midnight and 3 a.m.”

“On any February 30”

I vaguely remember some campaign promises about a better solution for health care than the ACA; just another Trump lie.

I’m not sure about fine print, I didn’t look into it that deep. They did say that about 50,000 will lose their doctors and will have to change. Last year they requested a 22% rate increase. I don’t know if they got the whole increase improved. If they did, their policies are still higher by 18% than they were two years ago.

I said a while back that it is possible the next black swan event in the stock market might be corruption. I look to see see many Tyco, Worldcom and Enron situations forming down the road due to the toadies Trump has appointed at the SEC and the Justice Department. They say a fish rots from the head down. It could take years for any corruption to come to light.

ObamaCare - for all of its various limitations - was designed and intended to help people

TrumpCare - was - from its inception - intended to deceive, defraud and harm in a punishing way… punishment for being on the end of the economic spectrum that does not have premium - first rate - employer provided healthcare.

Insofar as TrumpCare plans may attract cost conscious consumers who plan to use ACA as backup when medical need strikes, as that occurs this will drain ACA of younger/healthier people and load up ACA with older/sicker ones. I will suppose that this is a feature and not a flaw to further undermine ACA. An observation and a question. At some point ACA could be undermined to the point of collapse. Then we are back in time to 2010 (complicated by time lost in the interim) and a health care system edging (if not hurtling) towards collapse. Question: if TrumpCare is so good can we assume that the entire Trump family will sign up, including the President who I presume has dropped Medicare B and D for Group coverage as a US employee? A Stable Genius should be able to assure that the rules are written to allow it. BTW, in checking on Medicare rules for this post, I found the following. Look who wrote the decision.

Folks, we’ve got to be wiser and stronger. Check this out: if taxpayers can subsidize millionaires, billionaires, the oil industry, including military, and capitalism in general, then we CAN also subsidize HEALTH CARE for EVERYONE w/o limitations, deductibles, etc. But it’s only possible if we DEMAND IT, NOW! November 2018 will be your opportunity to do so, okay!!!

SO VOTE :ballot_box:

I hope the media (that’s you New York Times!) is as diligent at digging up and breathlessly reporting every failure, bait and switch, and sob story by those hoodwinked by this battered Trump “solution” as they were about “death panels”, and those “fall-between-the-cracks” ACA stories we were inundated with in 2010-2014!

I probably shouldn’t hold my breath, right?

Trumpcare needs a Surgeon General’s warning:

WARNING: Trumpcare may be hazardous to your health!

I’m holding out for the barber health plan to be unveiled so I can sign up with Theodoric of York.
