Ya know, those Kiwi’s just might do something about white nationalist terror too.
Six days since Christchurch. Six years since Sandy Hook. Speaks for itself.
Well now the Deering, MO. legislator will get the attention that he seeks.
Really Missouri should just cede the bootheel to Arkansas.
I can answer that.
I was on You Tube last night, watching some video, and an NRA ad featuring that screeching harridan popped up. I watched for a few seconds. It was predictably disgusting, full of lies and sneering. Yikes!
“The US isn’t NZ,” she tweeted. “While they do not have an inalienable right to bear arms and to self defense, we do.”
Inalienable? Really, Dana? I realize the NRA doesn’t emphasize the first half of the 2nd Amendment, the “well-regulated” part, but at this point I think they’ve forgotten that it even exists.
The Crisis Actors Union, Local 189, resents your implication their performances were subpar.
But what about thoughts and prayers? Jesus must be crying, bunch of heretics, atheists and mooslims down there. They probably believe in the Valar over there too.
Someone on Twitter noted that the Kiwis “think and pray faster than we do.”
So how much money from gun manufacturers has made its way into this Ass’s pockets?
So this is what it looks like when a country doesn’t have the Republican party gnawing away at its collective brain stem?
Gotta say, I’m very proud to be a kiwi right now. There’s a strong hunting and shooting lobby here but even they know the tide has gone out.
Great Post, @srfromgr…
I think an interesting statistic would be the number of “self-defense” shootings facilitated by a semi-automatic weapon.
The aftermath of the NZ massacre is the answer for dumb motherfuckers left wondering “how can we stop the next one” here, after the next one.
Indeed
Howler monkey with none of the charm or soul
Thank you NZ for being smart, proactive and by all means immensely reasonable. I know peace will someday return to the Shire, as it should.
Scalia essentially wrote it out of the amendment in his Heller decision. I wondered what would happen if they’d bothered reading the whole amendment in light of Art. I, sect. 8, graphs 15 and 16, when Kavanaugh came here for a speaking engagement in honor of Kennedy; Kav acted completely gobsmacked about the very idea, which tells you about his knowledge of the Constitution.
Makes the U S look like a bunch of fools. With the current republican Senate nothing like this could ever succeed in this country. Way past time to do something about them.
Not an expert here, but I also tend to read “the people” collectively, not to mean each individual person. My understanding is that this is how the amendment was construed for most of U.S. history, at least until the NRA became politicized in the '70s.
