The Brett Effect in action.
I remember back in the damn early '80s when conservatives decided they could be funny too, and to this day they haven’t gotten it through their heads that they can’t be funny too because they’re just not funny and don’t have the equipment to figure funny out. When they try, it’s painful.
This sheriff is a pitiful little boy so small you couldn’t find him with a microscope. Sad.
I don’t even know what to say about this. Truly, I am speechless.
Does this HORRENDOUSLY STUPID MF’er realize that the Nike Corporation could sue them within inches of their lives? And win?
ETA: Having worked in a Legal & Business Affairs Dept., I’ve no doubt that Nike owns ALL aspects of the Nike brand, words, images, phrases, etc. Smart move, guys.
It doesn’t take a lot of brains to get elected and be a county sheriff in some places. I can just imagine the abuse of powers that goes on.
It’s funny to them because they’re making fun of the less fortunate. They’ve made kicking people when they’re down into their own kind of Vaudeville. At least they won’t ever make any real money off their ‘comedy gold’.
All of conservative humor is based on being cruel to people, especially powerless people. They laugh at people being punched in the face and then get mad at everyone else for not finding it funny.
I salute this progressive Confederate for not restricting his use of the Nike shirts to black inmates.
I remember the endless promoting of Dennis Miller at that time, even to the extent of being ‘comic relief’ on a few NFL broadcasts until his cluelessness became too apparent. He had the ‘cruelty’ part of right-wing humor down pat. He just couldn’t fake the empathy.
This is getting to be a problem. “When they go low, we go high.” When they go so low that they’re scrabbling at Hell’s door, we can’t figure out a way to go high.
Guess I’ll just go get high.
Kick em in the head.
Activist and columnist Shaun King posted a photo of 12 inmates wearing Nike shirts on Twitter and Facebook late Wednesday and said that Union County Sheriff Ricky Roberts was “putting Nike t-shirts on people they arrest and making them wear them during mug shots. Source says it is to mock Nike and Colin Kaepernick. Disgusting.” The NIKE ATHLETICS shirt began to show up in mug shots around Sept. 15, according to the jail’s roster.

It would be nice if a few people lost their jobs over this…
Funny you should say that…
Bless his heart.
I’ve said in numerous threads here and elsewhere that every police department in the country needs to be torn down and rebuilt in order to get rid of the racism, homophobia, misogyny, and bunkered mentality that is the root cause of all the problems coming out of policing today. Here is just one more example on the pile of millions of previous ones that prove my point.
Dennis Miller was still a step above Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter’s “Half Hour News Hour”, and his fellow SNL alum Victoria Jackson’s “There’s A Communist In The White House”.
