I get the feeling Mueller would just say “Bite me.”

Well, these three just got dropped from the White House Christmas card list.

I never realized just how much prep work the rats do before fleeing a sinking ship.

Okay, what are these rats up to?
OTOH, if they know some of the details about Trump’s crimes, and I think they do, they just may getting out in front of the situation before the dam breaks and sweeps them all away. Sort of what they did with Steve King today.

I think they know that, one way or another, the report’s conclusions will become public. There’s no way to keep it secret once the public knows the report has been submitted — and even if Mueller’s team doesn’t leak, someone on the side receiving the report will. It will also become obvious when he starts closing up shop. So, yeah, they want to be on the record saying they want it to be formally made public.

The House is going to ask Mueller to testify in public forum …

regardless of what the GOP does with the report —

Count on it —

“When we spend $35 million, the taxpayers, that’s billions of dollars,
the taxpayers ought to know what their money was spent for,” Grassley
said.

Wha da fuq does that mean?

I assume they are a semantically muddled collection of words deliberately chosen to give conservative voters the impression of fiscal concern and stoke anger over financial waste and judicial overreach while maintaining plausible deniability about his meaning and intent.

Starting to look like the fix is in when Senate republicans make reasonable noises. They’re not trying to get ahead of the coming shit storm. They’re convinced that Barr will do what he was chosen to do and water-down the report. This is what they’ve been doing all along - their actions indicate they’re certain that trump’s coup will succeed and they’ll go on to become American Oligarchs. The alternative is unthinkable for them.
The big question - once Barr is made aware of what Mueller has, will his loyalty be to the rule of law, or does the opportunity to be an Oligarch drive his decisions.

All in good time, grasshoppers.

Hmmm. How much did the Starr investigation cost the taxpayers? 60 million comes to mind, but I could be off a mil or ten.

A report great but what we really want are indictments for all the criminals surrounding the Lump and his family. You Rethugs can dither around about everything else.

  1. Several GOP Senators (notably Graham, Collins) will whine and cry. Then vote for Barr.
  2. The Starr report cost taxpayers $70-80M, more than twice the Mueller report, so far.
  3. The Starr report was released pretty much in its entirety. The Barr report will be redacted or not released at all, according to his historical political leanings.

Huh?

“I’ve said this before,” Kennedy said. “The American people don’t read Aristotle every day. They’re too busy earning a living. But if you give them the facts they’ll figure it out and draw their own conclusions."

It’s a two-pronged scam

  1. Look like they’re not attached to Trump when he circles down the drain
  2. Lie about how much the investigation has costed.

hint: it’s paying for itself. Billions???

This is exactly what would happen if anyone tries to keep the report buried. Rep. Nadler D-NY chair of the Judiciary Committee as told us just this. Keep in mind that once you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.

He’s the meathead he referred to earlier today.

Human nature bring what it is, if Barr ends up releasing something that differs significantly from the Mueller report, there’ll be some mighty po’ed Mueller colleagues who will start leaking.

I think it’s going to happen … regardless —
