Well, the business of America is to rid ourselves of the destructive force in the WH, so I guess it depends on how one reads that statement. That said, I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw his Confederate ass.
Aymen.
… he went on to explain the virtues of Fudge and how everybody loves it…
I always had a suspicion that part of the reason that Sessions stuck to his A.G. gig so long was because of “consequences” if he left…
Obviously the business of America is diverting the Potomac through the Augean White House and not stopping until everyone within is in jail.
Sessions is blessed with a talent for saying the most innocuous things at the most opportune times, after failing to defend the most important things at the most critical times. That - and lying before Congress.
Agreed, they’ll be on our side when they’re on our side. Renounce the Reactionary Party and join the D’s or shut your pie hole, little elf, George Conway, et al.
Even being an independent is better, just leave the party. I actually like to see more “unaffiliates”.
When even Sessions says the report was done well, then you know Trump is in a hole.
Wanna know how it feels when all the so called ‘cool kids’ are leaving you behind, watch Trump now.
He will go crazy on Sessions on Twitter before this day is out!
“It was complete and (thorough), some may have said it was extensive,” Sessions said,
Back in the day of Tin Pan Alley and real Broadway musicals, this would have become song lyrics in the mouth of some pettifogger pretender to the affections of the leading damsel…
it is about time to accept the results and let’s get on with the business of America.
Classic Bait and Switch.
Praise the report, then in the next breath, throw the report in the trash bin.
He is still an a$$hole.
The way he handled this is precisely the way a savvy GOP politician should handle it, assuming:
- They have no soul (which they don’t)
- They do not care about America, only winning
- They want to seem reasonable and even patriotic while excusing horrific crimes
- They want to convince the public to loose interest and chase a new shiny object
If Trump were capable of this I would worry more.
Or maybe hoping he can make Trump stroke out.
Yeah, but going independent doesn’t show much courage in their convictions, they still end up voting R, it’s just window-dressing so they can drag out that old “I didn’t leave the party, the party left me.” I’ve come to view calling oneself an independent as intellectual self-flattery for most, because in fact almost all those folks consistently vote for the same party every time. I say, stand up and be counted.
I agree that some independents might be self-flattering and that they actually tend to favor one party. That said, I’m quite cautious about affiliations. Going independent might provide some objectiveness. And yes, always vote!
“I think it deserves respect and I think it is about time to accept the results and let’s get on with the business of America.”
Um, Keebler, there are no “results”. That was made pretty clear in the report, along with evidence that needs to be pursued until there is an actual result.
“I think it deserves respect and I think it is about time to accept the results and let’s get on with the business of America.”
Exactly what I think every time I hear the word Impeachment!
Sounds like a man who doesn’t have much longer to live and is trying to atone for his sins… #ETTD
…and in this case that means investigating the issues raised by the investigation, including impeachment if necessary.
This could be a tepid try at redeeming a legacy.
