I am right there with you on this statement. This sounds like Sessions is getting worried that someone in the DoJ/FBI took notice of him dipping his beak into all sorts of investigations of the Trump campaign/administration.
I mean just consider…The DoJ asked for an extension on reporting to Congress about evidence concerning Trump’s wacko claim that Obama had him wiretapped. How exactly would Sessions go about finding out if such a wiretap existed…without digging into various investigations into Trump and his campaign?? Its impossible.
And keep in mind, the big driver right now for the Trumpers…including Sessions…is to find out who is being investigated for what, and how much evidence has been collected so far. We know they are eager for this information because of the Priebus contacts with the FBI and with McGahn’s contacts with FISA warrants.

I’ve given up on that possibility. I asked Josh about it once during a Q&A session and his answer was basically that they don’t care enough. So frustrating.
