I don’t know if he can win the Senate Seat but, I think he probably has the best shot of any Dem. He’s got momentum on his side (from the last race) and he can obviously draw a large crowd. If nothing else he could help down ballot races in TX (again)
That seems to make a lot more sense to me. I’d like to see him take Cornyn out. I’d also like to see someone like him go from a House seat to a Senate seat, rather than the Presidency. He would be a force for good, especially with his advocacy for his home state and the obvious popularity he already has there.
This would be cool…especially if he could take out that sanctimonious POS Cornyn…

Beto O’Rourke should run against Cornyn. Cronyn is a faceless Trump lackey and in a potential Democratic wave election Beto can definitely win. Let’s put the GOP on defense in Texas!

Does he stand a chance against Cornyn? Cruz seemed more beatable since pretty much everyone loathes him. And would Beto get the same national attention during a presidential year not running against Lizardman Cruz?
I’ll vote for him. But Cornyn isn’t as despised as Cruz. Running against Cornyn will be tougher than against Cruz.
Cornyn expects the challenge from O’Rourke and has already started to make himself more less toxic. During the shut down, email replies from Cornyn were factual. Cruz’s were partisan spin.
