Do you really think this is a bad week for Ted Cruz? I really think you are all missing the point. Being in opposition is a comfortable and winning place for him to be. If he succeeded in shutting down the government , then the pain comes back to him (eventually). While he is unsuccessful but bravely defiant he gets to be underdog hero with no down side. I doubt he and his advisers think this was a bad week.
Are you kidding? This is a great week for him and his TeaPartiers! Heās a hero goddamn it! (/snark)
Donāt sugarcoat it SR, say what you really think.
CPAC isnāt that the annual meeting of KKK America?
Itās one thing for Canada Cruz to tick off the Democrats, but when you repeatedly and belligerently tear your own side a new one, youāre liable to find yourself standing alone in the middle of the field wondering what happened to your team.
And Cubanadians?
Theyāre A-OK-- ay?

TheYāre BAsicaLLY whITE.
And then the FCC Obamacared the internet. Cruz is getting so drunk tonight, you guys.
all that Texas deserves
So then, 4/5 of a real american?
āā¦to vote to confirm a nominee for attorney general who has flat-out told
us she will disregard the law, she will disregard the Constitution.ā
Omg you guys! I canāt believe Cruz left out the part where she also said sheāll kill our first-born children and have puppy drowning contest on the White House lawn every Easter Sunday! You guuuuuys!!!
Hereās another idea: Sen. Iām-a-total-jaggoff-for-FREEDOM! isnāt surprised in the least about how things have gone and is probably even happy about it, since it gives him more opportunities to grift the rubes by whining aobut how mean everyone else is in Washington.
From CNN reporting from CPAC:
āAnd in a lighting round with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Cruz gave his
top priorities for his first day in office if he were to be elected
president, which included abolishing the IRS, repealing Obamacare and
defending āour constitutional rights.āā
Abolish the IRS? Well then do we eliminate the 16th amendment as well? The IRS collects taxes in pursuit of the 16th amendment. And Iām curious as to what he thinks our Constitutional rights are. Being as heās a Canadian.
If he gets the GOP nod Iām investing in Brill Cream futures.
at LEast.
I hope next week is worse for Sen. Cruz and that it gets progressively more so for each week thereafter.
Abolish the IRS? The one that collects the taxes duly passed by congress according to the constitution? Yeah, no executive overreach there.
Wow, Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, and Jeff Flake are all violating their sacred oath to God, according to Ted Cruz.
What kills me is their unabashed admission that they see peopleās livelihoods, and government services to the American people, as āleverageā to use for their own personal agenda. So often they put the lie to supposedly representing their constituents, and nobody calls them on it. They bitch about Obama making improper use of executive authority, but they think the budget is an acceptable tool for implementing the legislation that they couldnāt get passed by a majority vote?
It occurs to me that the senator from Texas could very well be suffering from some form of mental illness. All he ever wants to do is fight, or in the least undo what already exists. There have been no positive actions on his part. I may be wrong, but I believe that includes legislation.
