Discussion: Senate GOP To Move Forward On O'Care Repeal Vote That's Likely To Fail

Sens. Lisa Murkowksi (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) have said they would vote against bringing the base health care bill passed by the House onto the Senate floor, even before McConnell has the chance to replace it with an amendment resembling the 2015 legislation.

They seem so tired of all this winning.

Impotent and sad just like the occupant. If you are going to do nothing, in Trump world it better be a great, big, tremendous nothing. #americaintheshitter

Turtle just wants to stick a fork in this pos and move on. It seems every move he made was to guarantee this outcome.

He wants them to “be on record” for the Koch brothers’ ire. Vote those damned women out! No scintilla of compassion necessary to be in the current GOP

But y is that… he has to have something else in mind

They’re just not quite to the point of understanding…

Republican President. Check! Republican Senate. Check! Republican House of Representatives. Check! And they cannot govern. Check! That spells F-A-I-L-U-R-E! They don’t get it!

I think this is the ripping the band-aid off of their delusional dream of repealing the ACA. He can point to the failed vote and say, we tried, on to tax reform while they monkey-wrench everything in site that touches the ACA. Particularly Medicaid and even Medicare (the House I think just released budget plan that fucks with Medicare out of Committee).

So, maybe I’m unclear, but this seems like a very stupid threat on McConnell’s part. Splitting your caucus on a meaningless vote to imperil some of your more moderate members in states where they (or their primary challenger) might lose a general, when (by most reasonable standards) you’ve got their backing on nearly everything else that’s come to a vote?

Please proceed, Yertle.

Trump: Why cant Obama do his job and get this legislation approved?

It’s going to be glorious! Epic! Every Republican Senator will have to choose between openly defying Trump and McConnell or voting to strip healthcare from tens of millions of people. Next, they’ll put forward a bill that mandates the strangling of thousands of kittens in front of crippled children. Keep it up people. This is just what our country needs.

Am I the first to quote Josh’s Iron Law of Republican Moderates?

They Always Cave.

Funny how I can’t get anybody to take me up on my bet that trumpcare WILL pass, and before September 30.

No doubt. Definitely the tax cut and considering some of his top benefactors are healthcare companies, they must have told him this bill did not benefit them. But what else is going on in his evil, calculating mind escapes me.

This is a “Let’s create an enemies list” move, plain and simple…

…McConnell may not be an idiot like Pee, but those two evil people are in many important ways very similar.
