Discussion: Senate GOP Aborts Vote On Last-Ditch Obamacare Repeal Bill

“Let’s engage each other and find a bipartisan path forward,” he said.

Oh, Eff Off. You shut those efforts down, douchecanoe.

This is a good day.

Pinky: “Gee, what do you want to do today, Brain?”

Brain: “The same thing we do every day, Pinky. Try to repeal Obamacare!”

I think this is the Nth time they’ve said " lets find a bipartisan way to move forward:…then they go it alone. It works like this: If the Spanish told the French the whole Paris thing is a “failed policy” and they should move their capitol to Barcelona what do you think would happen? The French love Paris…see no failure in it and would be in no mood “in the interest of bipartisanship” or any other to move it. same for the Democrats and ACA. They see no failure in it…and no reason to ax it just because the GOP has ideological prejudices against it. There is no bipartisan option. You’ll sooner find a Frenchman that wans to move Paris than a Dem that wants to sabotage O’Care.

“Bi-partisan” just means getting the warring factions of the GOP to agree on something.

Sorry about that. hahahahaha

Well, I’ll let it pass this time…just 'cause it’s you…

This is all that comes to my mind as well. They’ve done everything they can to undermine and straight out sabotage the law. And there is zero chance they work on a ‘bipartisan’ effort in good faith so long as a new chance at reconciliation is just around the corner.

Now it’s time for the GOP to rest, relax, and get ready for the next attempt to rob tens of millions of their coverage.

First, you’ve got to celebrate your victories whenever you can find them. Even if it’s short lived, a W is a W.

But, no, I actually don’t think this will come back until after the midterms. These guys watched what happened to the Democrats when they passed a heathcare overhaul that actually expanded coverage. But Dems passed O’care with a fairly popular president who wasn’t under serious investigation by a special counsel, and they still got shellacked. And don’t think Republicans will be scrambling to face the same fate especially if Mueller’s investigation has begun producing arrests and PP family members dragged in to testify.

Thanks I’ll try to be more careful next time and anticipate that you’ll want to post the same thing as me and I’ll try to think up something different.

Is it wrong I’m having so much fun right now? hahahahahaha

I have trouble associating the word “brain” with these doffuses (“doffi”?). Given the finger-pointing that’s about to sweep the corridors of Republican Washington, how about a rousing chorus of “Pinky and the Blame”?

Amen baby. If we don’t stop and celebrate these wins we would all become too discouraged to breathe.

I think we’re all a bit giddy from relief at the moment. At least, I am.

They’re not allowed to quit until the donors grant them a reprieve; that’s the critical difference between Democrats and Republicans.

And I’ll take another couple of years of the American people getting used to the idea that universal coverage is the goal to which we should aspire, and that those with pre-existing conditions should not get screwed over, and that if states want to expand Medicaid, then they should do so.

Health care will always face a threat from the right, just like any other social welfare spending. But we saw how deep cuts to Medicaid were a bridge too far for some Republicans. The longer the ACA lasts in its current form, the more ingrained it will be in our society and the safer it will be from GOP claws.

O me too. Giddy is the right word.

I don’t see RoJo in the picture. Apparently, he had to leave early to attend his Therapy for Dumb-Ass Senators session.
