Discussion: Senate Backs Measure Requiring Anti-Harassment Training For Senators, Staff

This is a good move on the Senate’s part, but how many will be outed by allegations? What will the penalty be for harassment after the training?

Nice that y’all want to feel safe in the senate.

I gotta say, I don’t feel one god damn bit safe with our unhinged, binge tweeting, disgrace of a president being anywhere near the nuclear football.

What in the fuck are you going to do about that?

Not to worry, he thinks it’s an actual football.

Doesn’t really matter as long as Congress exempts themselves from Title VII provisions - which btw apply to state & local governments.

None - harassment victims have to submit to a Byzantine arbitration process that doesn’t actually sanction anyone and any payments come from a Congressional pool and not the Senator or Representative in question.

Ladies and Gentlemen …

I present to you the Senate of the United States —

A group people at the pinnacle of their political careers …

Who fucking need training on how to treat other people !

Right! Until now, none of them had been reared to respect people (of every gender, race, religion…etc) and treat them properly (not only in the workplace, BUT everywhere).
Maybe it would be easier to just blanket censure everybody and get back to work… cause you know nothing will ever come of this theater.

Super…self serving optics in Lieu of tackling more pressing issues like health care and gun legislation…what is wrong with these people.

Will they tell them to not “date” 14-year-olds?
