Discussion for article #232438
Woohoo!
Warren is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the Senate—no matter who’s in control.
“Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, said he hoped he could develop a close working relationship with Warren.”
LOWL
He’ll try the old “Now, now little lady” nonsense on her, and she’ll chew him up and spit him out.
Sherrod Brown is a Democrat.
Yes, he is—and a great one.
So what’s your point?
I think this is the point. Very sloppy reporting.
Warren’s appointment to the subcommittee was announced by Sen. Sherrod Brown (R-OH), the ranking Democrat on the Banking Committee, on Friday.
My two favorite senators, Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown.
Sherrod doesn’t seem to seek the limelight much, but as @ThunderclapNewman says, he’s a “great one.”
How can you not admire and love this woman!!!
He is but he’s such a milquetoast
She already is
I just can’t like that enough.
Americans!! you folks are very lucky to have professor Warren. Don’t fuck it up.
Hatch, who does he think he’s kidding? So much senility in the GOP.
this is good news. democrats need to start talking in economic terms and stop phrasing their argument - you are going to help the big mega corporations. democrats should be saying, why are the middle class and poor subsidizing big corporations and the rich thru tax codes and gov’t contracts
Elizabeth gets more official influence anyways, she is already the biggest influence going.
Without whining about the just past midterms, this is why winning in '16 is so huge. The short term Republican damage between now and then will not compare to the fixes that are made for us when we control the senate and have the Presidency again especially when redistricting is the issue in 2020.
There are waves, there are tidal waves, then there are tsunamis.
I hope she has one hell of a good mouth wash cause the taste of hatch would be like…ok people you fill in the rest…lol
she’s gonna put a boot up ass …cause thats the american progressive way
now if we can just get the Clinton economic influence out of the democratic party
Warren
A very good bit of news indeed. The passion is there. And passion can be contagious.
