Schrodinger’s cat had it easy compared to how the English language is suffering at the tiny-fingered hands of these vulgar fools.
“The fact of the matter is we have to find a way to unite this country around one goal, one mission with everyone in the same boat.”
Yet that mission can’t possibly be defeating Donald Trump even though he’s paving the damn path to it in gold.
Semantics
At this point, i expect.a smartie.to show a picture of a brown rabbit. Now common sense statea that whatever the answer, as long as brown is part of the correct respo.
Watch the GOP mess it up
If it walks like a racist and talks like a racist…
Okay, I give up ! How can something be racially toxic, and not racist ? Doesn’t really matter. It’s not the words to the song, it’s the tune that is so enjoyable. You have no idea how gleefully I am going to be monitoring the GOPers trying to deal with the monster they have created for the next five months.
Keep parsing that chicken.
You win the intertubes for the day.
… then it’s a Republican.
Captain Obvious says that the same could be said of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, et al: their actions were reprehensible but nobody could know their “heart.” The action of the KKK – cross-burning and lynching etc. – were racially toxic, but it’s not for me to say what they were feeling at the time. There is really no such thing as a hate crime or hate speech because that would be imputing motives that no one from the outside can measure.
Note: I’m being sarcastic.
You mean like the last eight years?
So, Scott supports Trump the racist.
How is this not racist?
This is so laughable–but isn’t Scott just repeating HRC’s statement yesterday that she “can’t look into the heart” of Trump therefore can only say that Trump’s words or “attacks” are racist? The point being (and I’ve made this point before) that Hillary has to constantly be on her guard against her own instinct to somehow finesse the truth so as to (in her mind) maximize her inoffensiveness? It’s only been this last week that she decided to state the friggin’ obvious–that Trump is a dangerous clown intent on scamming the American electorate–and that her positives picked up. She has to play this election straight–Trump is a racist and should be called out as such. She doesn’t have to go wild-eyed about it, but simply and coolly state the fact of the matter, however unpalatable it may be to the moderate swing voter of her imagination. That swing voter, if he/she exists, will at least credit her for being a straight-shooter. They will understand that it’s not her fault that Trump is a proto-fascist goon, and that it’s Trump who is forcing these statements on her. #Just saying.
“one mission with everyone in the same boat”
Titanic? Lusitania? Edmund Fitzgerald? La Amistad?
@littlegirlblue State AGs who dropped lawsuits… and received Trump donations later…

Psycholinguistics, with emphasis on the psycho.
What the hell does “racially toxic, not racist” mean, anyway. Paul Ryan is right, Trump’s words fit the definition of racism.
Actually, that’s exactly what they’re doing.
Bingo You got it
What it sound like to me is something that I see often. I can’t say that Trump is a racist, but I can say that he’s making racist statements.
e.g. I don’t know what’s in his heart (he’s a racist), but I do know what’s coming out of his mouth (racist comments).
But our man Tim Scott put a special twist on it.
