I’m excited about how excited I am about so many exciting candidates.
He gets a week’s worth of free air time now, right? Or is that only if you say you’re thinking about running?
No thank you. Preening narcissist; you could walk through his deepest conviction and not get your ankles wet. Look at his views of public education prior to Trump’s election. He loved Betsy DeVos back then. Hold that thought.
Plop
Another hat in the ring. I’m less excited about Booker than i am about Harris but, i want to hear what he has to say. Frankly I’m at the point where i want to start seeing debates and town halls. I want to get to the good stuff so i can get a feel for some of these candidates.
I’m still waiting on Brown and Klobuchar!
Joining Schultz, Gabbard, and Gillibrand in Le Peloton Caboose. It is going to get very crowded and desperate back there.
So far boring…
I want to hear more from Booker. As of now, I don’t think that he’ll be my choice, but that could change – especially if there’s another pic of him running out of a burning building carrying a baby…or even a kitten.
I do like that he chooses to live where his constituents live.
I know that during Sandy he opened his home to his neighbors that were without power, they were showering, eating, at his place in Newark, which is pretty cool. I can’t remember if he had a generator or if his part of Newark didn’t lose power.
I’ve been down on Booker ever since his rant about Obama’s critiques of Bain Capital being “nauseating.” I admit it’s pretty boss to run into a burning building, though. So I dunno. Let’s see where this goes.
That alone against our current POTUS, should be enough for every voting American.
If he rubs that thing in his left hand will a genie come out?? He may need it.
Will Booker get the “likability” questions/commentary that Warren did. Because, to me, he has zero charisma. And, frankly, zero reason to run. Unless you are a fan of high pharma prices.
“In America, we have a sense of common pain,” he says in voiceover as he walks down a city street under scaffolding. “But what we lack is a common purpose.”
Nope. Absolutely wrong. There is NO common pain and/or purpose among all Americans. And I’d like to see the look on his face when he goes to any of the really Red States and faces the line of MAGA red hats. As for reaching across the aisle, my question is “to whom”?
Cory campaigned for the Dem in Steve King’s district in NW Iowa in October and saw plenty of MAGA hats. He handled it with class. I was/am impressed.
I don’t get the Booker hate either. Yah there’s stuff to criticize him for, a lot of it valid stuff, and I myself got tired of seeing his face on the Sunday morning shows a long time ago. But who among the other hopefuls so far would be able to cast that first stone? So far all of them have baggage and mistakes to answer for.
But I guess it’s hate season already. It’s going to be a long two years.
At this time… it’s all good…
Different strokes for different folks…[quote=“pantala, post:16, topic:83812, full:true”]

This early in the game this guy pretty much sums it for me.

Booker would make a perfectly adequate nominee.
I’m looking for excellence, however
I’m waiting for Adlai Stevenson to announce.
