Corker is the grownupâs Mike Pence. What steadfast straight shooter!
Câmon BobbyâŚyou can do better than this!!!
Presidential campaigns are job applications. They require documentation of claimed successes, clearheaded insight in interviews, and a history of strong character. Everyone seems to expect HRC to toe the line on these expectations and exceed them.
And everyone coddles DT as though he were a high-functioning special needs adult, who canât be expected to know very much because after all, heâs not really capable of doing this very difficult task. But we have to take him seriously, because he says he wants the job.
Corker is an azzâŚfirst, last, always. Eventually you will see he tries for a presidential run of his own and will fall flat on his azz, nothing there there.
Corker is another republican with a backbone made up of feces-colored jello!
Corker may not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he knows that Donnie is toast.
He did say, however, that he has never heard Donnie cough, so I guess thatâs an endorsement.
How Donald Trump Lost His Mojo
By Matt Taibbi
âThe thing is, virtually every politician who runs for office for the first time loses,â says Rosenberg. âThese rich guys donât realize how nuanced a game it is. In their business, you get 10 percent margins, youâre a huge success. In our business, you need 51 percent margins. Itâs tough. And they donât get it until itâs too late.â
After a deep inhale, the GOP senator replied, âWell, look, I didnât come on the program to talk politics. You asked me to come on to talk about public policy.â
The large set of actors in the public policy process, such as politicians, civil servants, lobbyists, domain experts, and industry representatives, use a variety of tactics and tools to advance their aims, including advocating their positions publicly, attempting to educate supporters and opponents, and mobilizing allies on a particular issue
âI got it. Look, I didnât come on this program to be that referee. But let me say I do believe that Trump is growing in his understanding of these issues,â Corker responded.
âWell, one thing Iâm pretty calm about is that this is nowhere near the most divisive period in American history,â he said in a preview of an upcoming CBS interview. "But what protects us in this country against big mistakes being made is the structure, the Constitution, the institutions.
âNo matter how unusual a personality may be who gets elected to office, there are constraints in this country. You donât get to do anything you want to.â
Mitch needs to help Corker with that message.
I think, that was a âNoâ,âŚ
Talk about your profiles in courageâŚ
Two things there, Corker, you traitorous eel. First, youâre saying go ahead and vote for the crazy unusual guy because there are checks and balances and how much damage can he do? (He can do many megatons worth of damage.) Secondly the government runs as much on long-respected norms as it does on explicit laws, norms the GOP has been happily trashing for decades (e.g. Supreme Court vacancies are filled by the current occupant, not by hypothetical future occupants). Trump is so far beyond any kind of norm that eels like Corker get extra-squirmy when theyâre asked if they think he can do the fucking job. And a third thing, just for free, he isnât growing somehow because heâs a mentally ill dizz-bomb who has no interest in any subject other than his own self-aggrandizement.
Does anyone think Corker realizes how big an ass he is for endorsing Trump?
The âRefereeâ line is becoming the fall back position for idiots that will vote straight GOP this fall.
Hey Little Booby Corker how does national debt, jobs, and economic growth fall under your purview as Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations committee? Should they have asked you about HOâs Mexican pit stop?
Reagan,s sunny morning in America (aka ignorance is strenght, see Google "Voodoo Economics) has birthed from the ID of the fascist racist nether world of RWNJ Hate Porn radio the flaming orang talking pustual that is DT. And Bobby you were all to willing to stand by all this time and take the votes of this ignorant hateful mob. And now a fluffy pretty blond babe is making you look like a jackass. Own it! You moral reprobate.
Can I take my âThis is your brain on drugsâ tee shirt out and replace the wording: âThis is your government on Republicansâ?
Works for me.
The poor dear is confusing margins with market share. A politician on the national level who achieves a 10% margin (i.e., a 55 - 45 election victory) is a huge success. The GOP patron saint had less than a 10% margin of victory over Jimmy Carter.
Itâs perversely amusing when Corker echoes McConnell and Ryan with their claim that the Constitutional checks and balances will keep Trump under control but those same checks and balances were inadequate to keep Obama from destroying the country as we know it.
agree. He meant market share.
