We all think that and the fact an unelected person is acting as President is, in my mind, illegal. Congress should do something about that.

Republicans always feign outrage and panic at every imagined or occasionally real Dem Faux Pas (remember Wellstone’s Funeral? Michelle’s “Never Been Proud” remarks? Anything and everything Obama did?). Dems moderate what they say in the face of total insanity and disaster. They seem incapable of anything but statesmanship. They certainly aren’t good at messaging or brinksmanship. They bring “According to Hoyle” to a knife fight. They bring Splenda to cure radiation poisoning. They should be acting like Canaries in a coal mine right about now, but they’re saying “Bannon has too much influence” instead of comparing him to what he is, an honest to God 21st century Nazi.
Chuck: Then do something about it. Let’s start with getting some younger leadership in the Senate minority and the Democratic Party generally that includes a lot of people whose obliviousness led us over the cliff in November.
I am the Senator’s age, and the most important lesson I learned from November is that I no longer no s••t about what it takes to get younger people and people economically devastated by the tax and spend policies of the post-Reagan Republican party to get out and vote in their best interests. The Republicans know how to lie and still get their message across. I do not think Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer have a clue how to present a clear and convincing message absent a devastating crises.
