You must be a Dolphins fan.

Roger Ailes is forming a women’s football league adept at that style of play.

Broncos Linebacker Brandon Marshall took a knee during anthem last nite. What? No mention?
In Bronco country that’s huge.

I’m up for that. Would like the Hawks to make their mostly suburban blue-collar redneck fans uncomfortable. I hate that the National Anthem is played before pretty much every American sporting event from HS onward.

We made the mistake of getting Mariners tickets for a game two years ago on 9/11. Being more than 10 years later, I really thought the OTT displays were done. Nope. Huge fucking flag dragged out across the field, various military people, a fighter jet flyover all capped off by “God Bless America.” I’m sick of it all.

Ah, they need the pads because the contact rules are different.

Organized sports have nothing to do with fascism. Sorry you were always picked last in grade school. Not everyone can be smart and athletic.

Throwing like a girl probably did lasting damage to harry’s self esteem.

I respect you for that, however I am not one of those in that camp. I am glad I was born in this country but I am no flag waver. If any group has a right to protest the way they have been treated it is certainly African Americans considering our history, not to mention native americans who have had the life sucked out of them because of the way they have been treated. It is a disgrace. Another thing we do in this country is immediately try to destroy Black athletes the minute they try to exercise their constitutional rights. If I recall correctly, there have been many white athletes who have done worse with little consequences for their actions.

Yeah I know that. Perhaps that is why they never sing the entire song,

Amen

This is actually rather unfortunate timing:

The players merely seek to make a legitimate point about trying to make law enforcement more fair.

It really has nothing to do with September 11, 2001…it just happens that the first weekend of the season
happens to fall on 9/11.

My fear is that many casual observers (aka: most of the U.S.) will mistakenly think it’s some kind of
unpatriotic statement disrespecting 9/11…

Leave Pete alone.

'mostly suburban blue-collar redneck fans '? WTF? This is SEATTLE. The ‘giant flag’ on 9/11 is a nod to JBLM to the south of us. Please.

Ran into Pete at a SEA-TAC bar. Asked him to hand me the peanuts, so he stepped back five yards and threw them.

Alone enuf?

No matter how the Seahawks or any player or team choose to honor our country they are stil more respectful than that mattress store in Texas.

Look it up dude. Google is your friend.

Yeah! Hillary Clinton denigrates the office of the president because she represents the Constitution shredding oligarchy. But then so does Trump, Obama, Dubya, Clinton, Bush Sr., and the Democratic-Republican Corporate DUHopoly Party, Inc.

The US Government is the new Nazi Germany. The 1930’s Germans were pretty proud and patriotic too.

?? Google can get you so sites, but you still have to be smart enough to know BS on the internet. I can google “Obama born in Kenya” or “Cheney did 9/11” and get all kinds of “proof” of it.

Organized sports have absolutely nothing to do with fascism. They have been around for thousands of years. But fascism only came into existence a little over 100 years ago, after the decline of the monarchies.
