Discussion: Scott: If I Were Trump, I Would 'Use Whatever Power I Have' To Build A Wall

I suggest digging a great big canal on Florida’s northern border

Well wait, am I in his yucky body, Freaky Friday style, or am I actually him? Because I’m not sure I want to do what he does.

Good point. But I’m sure the drawers up of the articles of impeachment have a file on this already.
If he were in Trump’s position, Scott said Sunday, “I would go out there and I would say ‘I’m going to use whatever power I have to solve the problem.’”

“We have to have border security. We have to take care of the DACA kids. And on top of that, I think we need to have a permanent solution for [Temporary Protected Status]. Let’s go start solving these problems instead of talking, talking, talking and nothing gets done,” Scott said.
Ummm… one question, Sen. Scott. How the F is the Racist-in-Chief declaring a faux national emergency because Congress won’t give in to his tantrums demanding his Big Beautiful Wall going to do anything to address those issues?

Ass.

Doesn’t there have to be an emergency to use emergency powers?

I wonder what kind of “negotiation” gives Trump and the conservatives everything they ask for?

I actually more scared of Scott that I am of Trump, Scott is competent plutocrat crook, he managed to evade punishment for a billion dollar fraud, elected twice governor and once senator. Trump is a dumbass that stumbled into the presidency with Russian help.

Florida has a knack of electing the most moronic leaders. Jeb, Hanging Chad Harris, Pam Bondi, Rubio, “Cotton Picking” DeSantis, Scott. The list goes on.

Another reason to never listen to Rick Scott. He is missing the forest for the trees. The problem is not Chuck and Nancy. The problem is that Congress has forgotten how to operate as a co-equal branch of government. Captured by the two political parties, our Congresspersons and Senators are unable to legitimately deliberate or try to persuade one another. Instead, they are beaten into position by partisan structures that punish anyone who seeks to be independent in their judgment. As much as the Legislature was designed by the Founders to represent the views of the people, it is something of a shell of that role having been hollowed out by partisanship.

Calling Scott a jackass would be too kind.

Ok, so what is your proposal, Voldermot?
You are now a fucking senator. You have the power to introduce a bill. Instead, you are also just talking.
Also, Pelosi and Schumer offered lot more money in exchange for permanent protection for the dreamers but was rejected by President Miller. So who is acting in bad faith?

This is just basically Scott going on TV to telegraph the out the GOP has so cleverly crafted to deny Trump another shutdown. That’s been the plan for some time now.

And an insult to jackasses.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) on Sunday gave tacit approval of President Donald Trump using emergency powers to construct a wall along the southern border.

“I would go out there and I would say ‘I’m going to use whatever power I have to solve the problem.’”

Well … which is it? Build the stupid wall? Or solve the problems? Because the only problem building the wall solves is stroking Trump’s ego.

Stroke this.

A new intracostal canal? That would be great for shipping.

“We have to have border security. We have to take care of the DACA kids. And on top of that, I think we need to have a permanent solution for [Temporary Protected Status].

Except Trump doesn’t want to take care of DACA kids or have a solution for TPS. And if he really wants border security, there are much better options than a physical wall. As the recent leaks from the IC have suggested , you really can’t teach an ignoramus who’s going to go with his biases without regard to reality or logic.

Oh, that’s a tough one. Trump wins, I guess. He does more damage than the Medicare fraudster.

Sorry Senator but when you say that Schumer and Pelosi are not “negotiating in good faith” you do not have a clue what “negotiating in good faith” means.

I spent nearly 30 years negotiating contracts both large and small. One of the first things I learned is that “No” is a “Good Faith” Response. Furthermore Senator, in both your business life and your political life you have often given “No” as a good faith response in your negotiations.

So Mr. Scott, in short, you are full of some very smelly animal byproduct.
