Discussion: Scott Brown: Opposition To Ebola Travel Ban Is 'Political Correctness'

I don’t know why Shaheen does not reply that the person came thru Europe to JFK and did not fly from Africa direct. The person went thru screening at JFK and passed.

He says he’s independent, but you can tell his a Repub by how totally shameless he is.

Consistency it the hobgoblin of little minds. And scientists. And Democrats (most of them, anyway).

Correction: advocating a travel ban with nations for which there is no travel to ban is bigoted political opportunism.

If you want to use a travel ban to guard against ebola, there, Centerfold Boy, you’ll have to ban all travel and all shipments from everywhere. Your true constituents in the board rooms of America would have your testicles on a platter if you did that.

But no matter – there’s plenty of political hay to be made among frightened whites by pretending to ban travel only to countries with black people in them.

Dear Republican Voter,

Save yourself!
Stay home and stay safe on November 4th.
Let the liberals vote - It will only expose them to Ebola.

Thank you.

what has brown done for you, other than spread republican fear, doom and paranoia to get votes.

“…a travel ban…”

That’s a ban on your travel. Scott and other Republican Congressmen can travel wherever they like.

To every problem there is a solution that is simple, obvious, and wrong.

It is also the only solution that Scott Brown ever comes to.

Like we care what a clueless CarpetBagger thinks.

Former Senator Centerfold remains an empty jockstrap—and a lying, cynical one at that.

The doctor was screened, passed because he was asymptomatic, and then proceeded to self-monitor his condition according to the guidelines set down by Medicin sans Frontieres (MSF) the group for whom he was working selflessly in Guinea.

As soon as his temperature spiked to 100.3, he called the health department and told tehm of his symptoms and his possible diagnosis.

The lack of a travel ban is not “political correctness.”
It’s the carefully considered medical opinion of professionals with 40 years of experience in fighting Ebola and other infectious diseases.

Brown is a shameless fear-monger and a bald-faced liar.

Scott should be nude when he says stuff like this. People would take him more seriously than they do when he’s dressed.

They’d be pointing at his “shortcomings” and giggling uncontrollably.

Nothing says “common sense measure” like rerouting enormous chunks of global air traffic patterns to accommodate a jumpy electorate.

As they say in Russia, у страха глаза велики (literally, “fear has magnifying eyes”, but usually translated “the eyes of fear see danger everywhere”). But Brown isn’t really afraid, he’s just an opportunist playing on the fears of the ignorant for political gain in shameless demagoguery.

ThunderclapNewman,

That is just an outstanding summary of what is wrong with the panic mongerers.

Thanks for expressing the facts clearly and accurately.

“Today, Scott Brown, denounced the Obama Administration’s refusal to decisively respond to the mysterious outbreak of pestilence by seeking out old women who live alone with cats and burning them alive as witches as ‘political correctness.’”

“Cows have been born with two heads,’ said Brown, 'calendars have been published with months having five Sundays. Most recently, blue rings were observed around the full moon right here in New Hampshire. The Obama Administration’s refusal to take swift action to address these clear portents of looming disaster is a disgrace and a danger to our children”

Yeah, when you got nothing else, go with FEAR Scotty.

There is something about men that when younger were thought to be good looking and adored by mom/wife/daughters that think they can get away with lying out all orifices when they are older…This man has entitlement issues!

Am ashamed to make such a shallow comment but that was my first stream of conscience thinking when I encountered him in Boston!

And yet they are the party that doesn’t speak out against those who refuse to vaccinate their children, based on completely false claims of autism.

We have had epidemics of horrible diseases in our past and we have overcome them with vaccinations. Some of these diseases being practically eradicated. However, there is no outrage about creating an opportunity for these diseases to come back and wipe many children or immunosuppressed people.

Thousands will die from the flu this year because people refuse to get flu shots, but are the politicians raising the awareness?

How many gun deaths could be prevented with just some common sense, the GOPTP are so “politically scared” that they won’t even advocate and support stronger education and tighter security on access. They won’t even support physicians discussing safety with their patients and families.

This is just another hysterical propaganda mechanism for an incompetent politician. Sadly, many will believe his hysteria and overlook and logical explanations.
