Discussion: Schumer Says Trump Should See 'Handwriting On The Wall' In Ruling

So… it’s been quiet days on this front recently but now we seem to have some update. Still not yet gotten to the bottom of it (though violation of the Logan Act already), but it seems to be going on behind the scene.

National security adviser Michael Flynn privately discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador to the United States during the month before President Trump took office, contrary to public assertions by Trump officials, current and former U.S. officials said.

[…]

Officials said this week that the FBI is continuing to examine Flynn’s communications with Kislyak. Several officials emphasized that while sanctions were discussed, they did not see evidence that Flynn had an intent to convey an explicit promise to take action after the inauguration.

[…]

The emerging details contradict public statements by incoming senior administration officials including Mike Pence, then the vice president-elect. They acknowledged only a handful of text messages and calls exchanged between Flynn and Kislyak late last year and denied that either ever raised the subject of sanctions.

[…]

Neither of those assertions is consistent with the fuller account of Flynn’s contacts with Kislyak provided by officials who had access to reports from U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies that routinely monitor the communications of Russian diplomats. Nine current and former officials, who were in senior positions at multiple agencies at the time of the calls, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.

NY Times also reports it.

Just remember - we’re now 18 hours to sundown in DC Friday 2/10/17 and, as the Kushners go radion silent for Shabbat, we’ll get to see Bannon’s fresh hell of the week.

I am living in an alternate universe where Nicole Wallace is hosting an MSNBC show during which she is the single most anti-PeePee member of every panel.

We are indeed living in interesting times…

OT, but Canadians also are burning up the Internet over Spicer’s statement that Palin is being considered for ambassador to Canada. Lots of hilarious stuff. One tweet asked that Trump consider “just bombing us rather than send Palin”. Another advised her to drive on “the other side of the road here”. One said she is currently on a flight “to Europe to come here”.

I’m thinking it’s about this time that Trump’s inner circle and cabinet appointees are calling each other, plotting a way to sit down with Donnie without President Bannon’s knowledge and presence. and give him The Talk.
“Don. Slow down and don’t fuck this up. This is golden. With four years we can make the Harding administration look like pikers and skate at the end. Stop listening to Bannon, the guy’s a damned nihilist! We know “Dazzling them with BS” is your style and it’s worked, but this is a whole 'nother level. Can you just be a little more discreet and selective with the BS?. Check with Tillerson or Manafort first, and they’ll work the cut-outs. Got it?”

I’ve been wondering if they have in check President “The Apocalypse Is Coming And War Is Inevitable” Bannon in any meaningful way, Shabbat or not. They may well be taken aback by the reality that they actually don’t have a lot of say or control inside the White House – everything we’ve seen so far has Bannon’s fingerprints all over the place, some Flynn’s. Not many of anyone else’s.

Adam Khan? Yes I’m following. He was very often retweeted and kept popping up in my TL, so I rather decided to follow him myself.

Did you find anything interesting from his feed (cuz I may have missed it)? Honestly I don’t know much about the guy, but you might remember @inversion posted his tweet(s) about Assange possibly being blackmailed by Putin…

So… Khan is talking about Kushner’s pet project. Huh…
