Discussion: Schumer Responds To Trump's Budget Fury: 'You Can't Always Get What You Want'

By the way, what’s with Trump’s use of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” anyway? It’s a totally bizarre song selection that always felt like a snarky poke in the eyes to clueless Trump supporters at the Orange one’s rallies.

But if you try some time…of course, Donnie doesn’t “try.” Just saw a headline that he’s now pushing for a government shutdown in the fall. Some people are incapable of learning. Keep tweaking him, Senator Schumer, you might just induce apoplexy or a stroke.

Guys like President Whiny are all the same. If you piss them off, they start making more mistakes that normal and dumber ones as well.

Is this intended to accelerate the mental breakdown of 45 that is presently occurring?

Bummer. LOL

If it accelerates any more, it may break the sound barrier. Hell, it may even break the light barrier.

I was sorry when I heard Scalia had died suddenly. I was doubly sorry it hadn’t happened sooner.

“The President has been complaining about a lack of bipartisanship in Washington,” he added later. “Well, this deal is exactly how Washington should work when it is bipartisan. Both parties negotiated and came to an agreement on a piece of legislation that we can each support. It is truly a shame that the President is degrading it because he didn’t get 100 percent of what he wanted. Bipartisanship is best summed up by the Rolling Stones: You can’t always get what you want, or at least everything you want.”

Game, set, match Schumer!

I think it was Trump’s tacit admission that he didn’t expect to win.

As Ryan stated the fight for the wall will happen this summer. By that time Trump will be bat shit crazy and he will not be able to contain his dislike for Congress. It will be very entertaining.

I don’t care how long it takes and I’ll be thrilled if it comes earlier than my prediction but I’m setting a goal of February 13th of next year so I can keep some semblance of hope going!

Perhaps PeePee can work with Andrew Jackson to figure out how not to get impeached, perhaps he can have a conference with the increasingly successful Frederick Douglass to discuss his strategy. Either way, he’s going down and my plan is to take Pence out with him.

I am pretty sure Mick is still throwing up because his ex Jerri Hall is married to Rupert Murdoch.

This song always struck me as really strange for a campaign song, anyway. Besides the chorus being “You Can’t Always Get What you Want”…the rest of the lyrics are well…wildly inappropriate for a campaign them, IMO. And I LOVE the Stones. “She was practiced at the art of deception, I could tell by her blood stained hands” “We went down to the demonstration, to get our fair share of abuse”. “I saw her at the reception, a glass of wine in her hands. I knew she was gonna meet her connection”

I mean…WTF??

President Trump Claims Victory on Bipartisan Spending Bill

“The remark recalled Trump’s campaign rallies, which often closed with the Rolling Stones’ classic.”

For which I’m sure they were properly reimbursed with the due royalty payments. s/

Send me dead flowers.

You are a political illiterate. If that was what was going on now, you would be watching the far right wing enact everything they want and destroying everything you believe in. The rights of the minority have to be protected or there is nothing but the “tyranny of the majority.” Perhaps you could return to school and take a civics class, you idiot.
