ā€œHe also said he knew ā€œsome peopleā€ who know where I lived, that I had a very nice wife and kids, and it would be a shame if something ever happened to them, according to these ā€œbusiness associatesā€ of hisā€¦ā€

Another ā€œWTFā€ moment in surrealism.

Having Trump say that would make me call for a new ranking member, except that Trump always lies.

Personally, had that been me, Iā€™d have taken a shower to decontaminate and rid myself from casual exposure to King Shitstain and his posse of mini-me shitstains after that experience. I can just picture those mini-me-s standing around, bobbing their heads up and down, saying ā€œyes sirā€ every 5 seconds.

But now, the usual suspects
in the MSM are busy following Trump down the rat hole by focusing on Susan Rice - optics, clouds and shadows - in moves reminiscent of the election campaign and emails. But thereā€™s a real danger here.

But if senior intelligence officials canā€™t concern themselves with the national security implications of foreign meddling in an election, or of the sundry conflicts corrupt campaign officials (like, say, Trumpā€™s) might bring into government, without subjecting themselves to character assassination, it creates horrifying incentives for both potential meddlers and their beneficiaries. The corollary of saying Riceā€™s only possible motives were nefariousā€”that what she and others did was shady on its faceā€”is that campaigns should operate with impunity, free to woo foreign intelligence organizations as if they were no less central to the partisan fray than political action committees. After all, anybody who probes the question will be tarred as an unreliable narrator.

We should all support a full accounting of what the Russian government did, what the Trump inner circle did, and how the U.S. government responded. But Trump and his aides have been engaged in a well-documented campaign of deception since those fateful tweets on March 4. Placing the burden of proof on anyone other than them is an error we will all come to regret.

Weirdā€¦Itā€™s almost like the ā€˜staffā€™ knows Don the Con is ā€˜offā€™ and tries to limit any access with peopleā€¦then they can put their own agenda in placeā€¦

This might be Trumpā€™s way of buttering him up. The proverbial boss slapping the employee on the back ā€œgood jobā€ but maybe he knows the writing on the wall when it comes to his ties to Putinā€™s Russia.

Maybe Iā€™m imagining things too vividly but you have to feel for a normal, sane person walking into that snake pit, not knowing what horrors heā€™ll experience thereā€¦

ā€œinfrastructure was an area where we ought to be able to find common ground,ā€

Infrastructure is the carrot Trump holds out to entice Democrats to play ball. Donā€™t trust him. Their infrastructure plan will be a tax giveaway to Trumpā€™s contractor buddies, you watch.

I think youā€™re right. Trump can probably be quite charming if he thinks he can gain from it. Heā€™s not a monster, but heā€™s a master manipulator. It wonā€™t work on, Adam Schiff of course, But hey, like chicken soup, ā€œwhat could it hoitā€?

Yes Adam, the bullshit never abates. It is protocol in the Trump White House to wipe your shoes on the mat when you leave. Next time wear galoshes.

Sounds to me as if Schiff is the one holding out that carrot to Trumpā€¦

Given PPs numerous personality disorders, I guess I donā€™t find it particularly shocking that heā€™s so desperate to be liked that heā€™s even complimenting a man who is currently investigating him.

Heā€™s a prosecutor. Bet this isnā€™t the first con man heā€™s encountered.
