We can ‘thank’ Murdoch media & the RWNJ entertainment complex for that
When have you ever seen a “frank discussion” involving a Trumpanzee?
I haven’t noticed many people debating Schiff, although I don’t watch, but only see clips on the internet.
I think he would humiliate Sekulow, as well as make that princess-y temper come out again.
Can’t find the link right now, but I was recently reading about a significant cohort among fundy Christians who look on authoritarian Russia with broad approval. They don’t approve of killing journalists but they do approve of beating up on Teh Media and making 'em Shut Up About Stuff We Don’t Want To Hear. They also believe in a strong alliance between the authoritarian state and the conservative Orthodox Church, particularly when it comes to The Queers. What Putin did to Pussy Riot wasn’t, to them, an offense against civil liberties but a model for reining in the “permissive culture” that they see corrupting their young. In authoritarian Russia, People We Don’t Like had better just STFU, and they want that here. This isn’t just the “far right”–at least that’s not how they see themselves. These aren’t the alt-racist Redditers, they’re just Middle 'Muricans who look over there and think “Putin may be a bastard but he’s doing some things right.”
"Mr Akhmetshin said Ms Veselnitskaya brought a plastic folder with her, containing printed documents that detailed what she believed could potentially be the flow of illicit funds to the Democratic National Committee. Ms Veselnitskaya presented the contents of the documents to the Trump associates and suggested that making the information public could help the Trump campaign, he said. "
I believe this guy is genuine, and I want to hear from him and only him of all the thieves in WH.
Sekulow ought to wish he was back to defending prosperity gospel grifter preachers.
Further proof that it is outsized hatred of President Obama that drives the orange thing in every step he takes.
@lestatdelc Ms Veselnitskaya
Curious. “Skaya” is attached to a woman’s name to indicate she’s the wife of somebody, so I wonder who and where Mr. Veselinit is.
This is MORE than an attempt.
He’s guilty. And don’t say he didn’t know any better.
I totally agree. And I’ll take it another step. The fact that they were loudly screaming “fake news” and claiming they had nothing to do with Russia, that there was no relationship with the Russians, etc. even further compromised them. Imagine if in late August the Russians had begun dropping stories about their meetings with PP associates and family members that proved they were trying to collude. So, yeah, the meeting itself was the kompromat. It doesn’t matter if they talked about puppies, or dirt on Clinton. The emails and the meeting were all blackmail they needed.
wikipedia says: Veselnitskaya was previously married to a former deputy transportation minister of the Moscow area.
Given all the contacts between the Trump crime family and Russian oligarchs, especially the oligarch who sponsored this meeting, the Trumps didn’t see anything out of the ordinary about the Russian government supporting the Trump campaign. For them it was business as usual.
So smart, and always prepared….Schiff does not disappoint. He keeps it classy, but speaks truth.
…When until they hire a guy named Frank.
Which, if true, would have been trumpeted to the highest heavens in the Big Speech Trump said he was going to give about Hillary and then… didn’t.
I’m so glad Schiff agrees with me. hahahahahahahahahaha
I wonder what the Rosenbergs think of Trump’s “nothing burger” defense. Oh, they were executed for colluding with the Russians. Actually collusion wasn’t the crime. The crimes were espionage and treason.
and “intent” to collude is a violation of what criminal statue?
It’s not a crime. It’s an element of a crime. Crimes have elements that must be proven. They have a state of mind that must be proven and elements related to an act.
In this case, the crime in question would be conspiracy to violate election laws.

Regardless of whether it’s a crime, though, I find it astonishing that a guy whose identity as a Marine is so important to him he puts in his name is apologizing for a president conspiring with a hostile power to subvert democracy. What is wrong with you? This isn’t about whether you like the Steelers or or the Cowboys. This is about your country, about whether you’re okay with a politician colluding with the authoritarian head of a thug state to subvert democracy in this one. When did that become okay for conservatives? At what point did winning at all costs become so important to you that you’d sell out your country to a murderous thug like Putin rather than endure four years of a Democratic presidency?
Your bias shows in your post, “a president conspiring with a hostile power to subvert democracy”. Where is your evidence that any of that occurred? You have none.
