Well, in fairness to Nunes, based on his later comments, he left himself in the dark, too, saying that he hadn’t seen some of the documents he was talking about and walking back the claims. So it’s all good.
Schiff gave the Democratic response to the so called president’s weekly address.
Everything Nunes has done of late just stinks. Very fishy.
And Schiff, the ex-prosecutor-of-Russian-spies, knows exactly how to play the statements game in a fashion that isolates Nunes even more every minute that Nunes fails to explain. Schiff is playing this like a master. Glad he’s on the side of the angels!
If it looks like collusion, walks like collusion, talks like collusion, and smells like collusion, then it probably is collusion. More to the point, it starts to smell like treason. This whole matter demands an independent prosecutor and a neutral investigative commission.
OT: Russia today is a fire with protests.
Moscow Pushkin Square thousands demonstrate:
BBC has video: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39398305
St. Petersburg there were also thousands demonstrating. Vladivostock, they were chanting “as long as we are together we are invincible” while on eof thousands was arrested.
Lots of dramatic pictures and video are popping up on twitter everywhere. #RussianResistance

I think Nunes is scared shitless. He was on the transition team. Last week someone tipped him off that ‘certain members’ of that transition team may face a criminal indictment. This should be a wonderful spring.
Just in case. Everyone knows that Devin Nunes was supposedly present in the “kidnapping Fetullah Gulan” meeting back in September between Flynn and the Turks, right?
Michael Flynn met with Turkey at Donald Trump’s hotel. Guess who else attended? Devin Nunes.
Representative Schiff is being entirely too hard on Lil’ Devin. As a former prosecutor, Schiff is all too aware of how hard it is to get that many stories from that many people to jibe, especially when all of this last-minute planning is taking place in the midst of a massive, newly revealed RICO investigation and he’s dealing with a pack of backstabbing bastards.
There must be a million questions on Lil’ Dev’s mind right now: “Who’s going to turn State’s Evidence first? Who’s going to get immunity? Who is going to be the only one left standing who can issue pardons? Do I look smart? Is my face on straight? Will I get to keep the gavel? I really like the gavel.” The list is endless.
I’m sure Rep. Schiff is aware of this. The big meanie!
Nunes is soiling his pants. It will be a brown and smelly spring, from his perspective.

“as long as we are together we are invincible”
I wonder if that is a translation of the Latin American anthem “the people, united, will never be defeated”.
SMH
Excuses, always excuses, and any excuse is better than none.
Addendum. She’s roasted alive in the comments.
Addendum 2. HRC called Trump Putin’s puppet in debate three and gave a major address on Russia and the NYT and Maggs mocked her for it.
And Trump oddly silent.
Right up front on BBC World News.
He’s busy cobbling together his 140 characters praising Putin’s approach to law-and-order.
Because they are in Aspen or on the golf course, Tilley! (Or maybe watching B.ball).
How can you possibly expect them to respond? Unreasonable.
The self-styled Scarlet Pimpernel Nunes is only scared “scatless” by the thought of being tortured by “deep state” liberal Obama holdovers led by … Justin Amash!
After Schiff spoke, Gowdy chimed in with this bullcrap about keeping hearings closed to the public:
GOWDY: I heard the witnesses almost 100 times, John, say they could not answer the question in that setting, and I want you and your viewers to ask themselves, ‘Why are we satisfied with every other facet of culture having serious investigations done confidentially?’ The grand jury, judges meeting with attorneys, police officers interviewing suspects — all of that is done confidentially, and we are more than satisfied with those investigations. And yet when it comes to Congress, we think we ought to have a public hearing? 100 times those two witnesses said they could not answer the question in that setting. Why in the hell would we go back to that setting if the witnesses can’t answer the questions?
Do you have a link to that?
