I love Schiff. His restrained persona belies his badassery. He doesnāt wear glasses but if he did you wouldnāt want to let them fool you.
Schiff has always conjured the (overlain) image in my mind of a catā¦with one small, yellow feather still visible at the corner of his mouth. Or maybe itās an orange featherā¦
Rep. Schiff started out fine, with the āhope Rod Rosenstein stays until the investigation is overā, but THEN he lapsed into Beltwaynian, with the nonsense about some imagined 'final āreportā.
Iām inclined to blaime the Beltway climate for that, or maybe Schiff figures, Oh well, itās some combination of local patois and zeitgeist so Iāll humor the press. Schiff was, after all, at one time an assistant US attorney.
But that was back in Last Century, when there was a freaking LAW that provided for Special Counsel and the like. Schiffās political career started in earnest in 1996 when he was first elected to something, so maybe from that point he understood he was embued with perfect knowledge and had nothing more to learn about law. At least that might explain this set of wrong headed ideas heās got rolling about in his Politicianās Brain like loose cannons on a ship en route thru the Straint of Magellan in an angry sea.

I know what you mean. Sometimes thereās this trace of a smile on his face, like heās thinking oh baby what I could do with subpoena power. And now he has it. Heās eaten a few canaries in his life and I think some more are about to go down.
