Discussion: Schiff Criticizes Comey: 'We Know Less Than A Fraction Of What The FBI Knows'

Nunes was one of those carrying water for the WH, trying to refute the NYT story that the WH tried to pressure Comey to absolve them of Russian ties.

It’s quite a quandary, isn’t it?

On the one hand, Trump, Sessions, et al. are doing everything they can behind the scenes to muzzle it.

On the other hand, Comey, the IC, et al. know that revealing too much tips off the moles and their handlers.

(And gets people killed.)

I suppose we just need to put our faith in a successful Kindertransport of incriminating evidence by the outgoing Obama administration.

I suspect he is giving them a GLOMAR response. He may be prevented from confirming or denying the existence of an investigation. This gives me hope.

"…It was unclear whether that decision was a decision he was making on his own or a decision that he is making in consultation with the Department of Justice.”

Mr. Schiff, I realize you have to be diplomatic but… c’mon!.. don’t shit a shitter. It’s the latter and we both know it.

Never forget that McConnell and Comey tried to keep the lid on this in the fall. McConnell threatened Obama that he would raise Hell. When this deal goes down, they both need to come clean as well.

McConnell. Do not forget McConnell.

James Comey, you ARE the weakest link! Good-bye.

Right. And in fact, if there is no investigation, there is no conflict in publicly announcing this. Ergo…
Schiff knows this too. He is just inviting people to make inferences.

Also, to be fair, maybe Comey has learned something?

Too little, too late? Maybe, sure. It definitely comes across as painfully partisan, too. But there’s so much painfully, blatantly corrupt and outright evil coming from the government right now that I need some not-entirely-dismal perspective. :stuck_out_tongue:

As the appointment of a special prosecutor nears and/or the Republicans are forced or shamed into pushing forward with Congressional investigations, when do we get to start hearing those sweet words of there’s really something we’ve got to hide - “executive privilege”?

I want to think good things about Comey but what he did to Hillary deserves a special place in hell.

Jesus. What a mess!

Is the entire Republican Party simply the political arm of Vladimir Putin and the Russian mob?

Comey is a Republican first, second and third, and a law enforcement executive last. I might trust him to give a speeding ticket to someone going 90 mph in a 25 mph zone, but nothing else. His treatment of Hillary Clinton, the Democrats in general, Obama in particular, make it abundantly clear that he should be investigated himself.

No, Schiff is just trying to shame Comey into doing his job. This is a guy so corrupt he placed a higher priority on sabotaging Hillary’s campaign than on stopping the Russian attempt to do the same. A special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate Comey.

Inspector General is investigating him right now.

Details???

Will they call this “The Comey Cover-up?” sounds appropriate…

If the director of the FBI is also being paid by the Kremlin, what else can you expect?

Comey can`t say anything because his Russian Masters have told him to say nothing .

so comey who had no problem sinking Hillary Clintons campaign wont fess up to what he knows about the puppet.
and leaves it to leaks and innuendo to try for even our congress to make sense of it all.

this all appears to be just an extension of what is developing into the greatest crisis ever to face this country.

the possibility is forming that the man who sits as the 45 POTUS is a collaborator with a foreign government and while the extent is unknown at the least appears open to persuasions perhaps blackmail.

we have already seen how that influence extends into our institutions the latest being the AG our nations top “cop”.

time to acknowledge that the republican party rather then open to exposing this scandal seeks actively to conceal it!

we see now why the puppet was directed to attack the press as the enemy of the people by heir bannon.
it’s all out of the Nazi 101 playbook.

until we have a special prosecutor there is no reason to assume anyone connected to the regime has not been compromised or is not part of a cover-up that threatens the integrity of our government and elected officials.
