Because I don’t give a shit about Scar’s opinion on anything…
John McCain is on the floor blaming Obama for Iraq’s slide into a terrorist state.
Who ever would have imagined that.
Remember when a stray bullet from a gun fired in the air from god knows where but possibly a mile away broke a window in one of his offices? He ran out in front of the media claiming it was some sort of terrorist attack against him, despite the obvious fact that it wasn’t. Despite breaking the glass the bullet didn’t even make it through the venetian blinds, clearly indicating the bullet wasn’t fired at the window and the police quickly dismissed the issue. It was very similar to Lou Dobbs’ claim around the same time that someone tried to assassinate him when a hunters stray bullet hit the upper corner of his house and was from so far away that it didn’t even pierce the vinyl siding. My pint is, there seems to be a real martyr/paranoid side to some of these folks.

" and I like Eric a lot" says everything you need to know about Morning Joke.
Like most Tea Party Republicans, Eric Cantor is a paranoid, delusional sociopath … hence the excess of body guards.
As for McCain’s insane BS rant regarding Obama causing Iraq to be a terrorist state, I say that’s further proof that Republicans, like their Tea Party brethren, are paranoid, delusional sociopaths.
so says the man who wears cotton candy colored pullovers on a news show.
But on the plus side, they must have been really good steaks. Right, Earache?..
it will be a sunday morning trifecta this week.
If only Joe had a bodyguard we would have never found the body in his office. Eric and Joe are clueless.
McCain did say he was speaking out of anger, if that means anything.
Scarborough’s commentary shows how out of touch he is,always.
Given that that applies to everything he says, it doesn’t mean much.
Ooohhh, lookit Joe Scar bravely sticking a dagger into the corpse! Way to go there, Joe. Didn’t dare say anything like that before Cantor lost, but now that he’s down, you’re the tough-talking journo.
I wonder who pays for Congressional bodyguards? Issa is another rep that isn’t seen by the Great Unwashed of his district. I’ve seen him once about 10 years ago at the only public “town hall” he’s ever attended. My spouse saw him once on the road locally and he appeared to have an SUV guarding his 6. I’m guessing 2 in the SUV and 1 in his car. Who pays for this?
Maybe, but remember that at the time of these particular incidents, there had been a number of real attacks against the offices of Democrats in the wake of the passage of the ACA, and Republicans were deprecating those and at the same time inflating incidents involving Republican offices or homes in order to be able to say, “See, both sides do it.”
At the time, Cantor was also trying to get sympathy for the GOP since the stories about President receiving so many threats had just come out. Cantor lied and never admitted it.
“…and I like Eric a lot…”
Which says so much about you, Joe.
Just in terms of district politics, if my congresscritter was going to be the majority leader, I’d assume he or she wasn’t focusing on my district as much any more and was having to, well, be the majority leader.
But sadly the press will quote McCain without any context. David Gregory will be foaming at the mouth on Sunday, guaranteed to quote his president.
