Trump loves jerking people’s chains and seeing them jerked. He also thrives on chaos and publicity: Scaramucci provides all this in abundance which suggests Trump would bring him back if he could except Scaramucci has a tendency to get a little too much attention which is something Trump won’t tolerate so it looks like a push at the moment.
Like Trump, Scaramucci is also a known liar and bullshit artist so any claim he did or did not say or intend to do something is equally invalid.

I can see why they’d want the Mooch back. I saw a few minutes of him talking to Dana Bash (on Tapper’s Sunday show) and the guy spews bullshit so fast and with such aplomb it makes your head spin. Of course, Bash didn’t question any of it.
The Mooch is exactly what Trump needs now: a political hitman. He could drive out Sanders, Hope Hicks, and possibly Kelly. He could also drive out the WH counsel and Kellyanne Conway now that they are no longer useful to Trump in getting what he wants. He reminds me of the kind of hitman that a mafia Don brings in from another city to take out unwanted people, then returning to wait for the next call.
Trump is a coward who demands loyalty from his workers. If he perceives someone as not being obsequious enough, they are sent packing. The Mooch is the one to drive them out. He was very good at it the first time, so consider that Hope Hicks has been before Mueller, Sanders is a lousy liar and in Trump’s eyes, not attractive enough to represent him, Kelly is trying to reign him in, Kellyanne Conway is a joke in front of the media, and the WH counsel is being drug into the Mueller investigation. They need to go, but Trump is a coward who does not actually ever fire anyone. Enter The Mooch. If he comes back, it will be the same as before - come in, get a lot of press coverage, force out the targets, then leave. He is the perfect hitman!
