That’s probably a valid criticism.

Because your handlers in the GOP held out the faint hope that you could think on your feet.

Now come on. We’re lucky Darth Cheney agreed to come out of his hyperbaric chamber at all.

…because your looks were the only thing you contributed to your ticket?

Don’t see where the Commission on Presidential Debates had a dress code requiring heels.

That was your choice, Sarah.

And you certainly wouldn’t want men to take away a woman’s right to choose, would you?

ETA: Anyone know what footwear Hillary (some 20-30 years Palin’s senior) wore to the first debate?

ETA2: Photos show Hillary wore heels to the first debate, stood the whole time, and never complained or excused her performance.

So they said you had to wear heals? Did they pick your earrings and glasses as well?

Your campaign could have negotiated a raised platform so you could have worn flats. This is on you.

Because you decided to wear high heels?

The American people wonder why Sarah Palin was foisted on us.

Oh, waah, you whiny bitch. Maybe wear flats if you know you’re going to be standing for 90 minutes? Nobody forced you to wear those FM pumps.

If you recall, at the time the GOP was desperately trying to raise Palin’s gravitas as a serious national figure, and having her standing at a podium opposite Joe Biden (who didn’t need that at all) was designed to do that. It didn’t work, but that was the theory.
And nobody said she had to wear heels. While in a man vs. man contest height makes an optical difference, not so much man vs. woman since everyone knows women are shorter on average than men, often by a lot. So she could have been in flats with a shorter podium and not lost anything in optics. She wore heels because she’s vain.

Newsflash: you could have worn more comfortable shoes if you had wanted to, and no one would have said a thing. It is called ‘planning ahead’.

Because you sit down to pee, which is totally disgusting.

In fact, you could have worn Air Jordans if you wanted to and it wouldn’t have affected the debate results a bit.

I smell a desperate cry for attention and a fear of falling into obscurity. Please hop on that bus with Anne Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and all the other talking heads. Take the Kardashians with you, pretty please?

You ever think about putting on comfortable shoes, whiner?

The real culprit is her campaign who negotiated the debate rules.

But a woman shouldn’t be attacked for having to live in a masculine world. Their is a correlation between height and strength in presidential politics. So looking too short may have been a problem. Both women and men are also expected to follow wardrobe norms at fancy events, and it is just a coincidence that women’s wardrobe norms are uncomfortable and unhealthy.
