Discussion: Sanders Predicts A Contested Convention: 'We Intend To Fight' For Votes

I certainly hope so.
HRH HRC can’t close the deal. She’s been trying since January 2007, and the final answer has been “NO” every time. She is the candidate that Rancid Freepuss and his “All Zombie Trump Band” WANT to run against. I wonder when the only thing bigger than her wallet, which is to say her Ego, will let it trickle thru the denser layers that people just don’t like her, nor do a majority of them want her and her family anywhere near the Oval Office again in living memory (altho that memory is darned selective, if you ask me. Especially where the name “Clinton” is concerned.)
The DNC (otherwise known as the HRH HRC Glee Club and Pledge Society) has been so very busy trying to elect one and only one candidate to one, and only one office that the other 535 seats in what is (laughingly) called a “Government” do not matter.
The House will stay in the clutches of the Grumpy Old Party until more of their voting base get “called home” or (more likely)more of the crooks get caught.
The Senate is a lot closer than many would believe, and the National Democratic Senatorial campaign has been a bad joke that has gotten almost no “News” coverage while every democrat who’s Afraid of The Clintons is blowing a horn for HRH HRC (or Else) The Senate is a coin toss, in any case. Either way, a split “Government”, with a mess of ever spineless Democrats ready willing and able to lay down (again) and be Doormats in front of the GOP noise machine.
Yeah, some “Convention”, I’ll say. HRH HRC wants her Coronation.
Sounds to me like more of the same, this time with a Clinton Brand shovel.
I’m old enough to remember when the first rule of Politics was “Get elected.”
By the time the GOP Noise Machine finishes with HRH HRC around Halloween (fitting) she won’t be able to get herself elected dog catcher in Harry Reid’s hometown. (Provided that anyone can find it on a map)
Then, I want to hear all the people in that Convention Hall who picked HRH HRC answer just one question.
What does the Democratic Party do January 20, 2017 if Trump is giving the speech?
Go on, enlighten me.
The truth is that the democrats have no back up plan. They have no plan for “government”, nor for Opposition beyond one name. They have not, and cannot think that far ahead.
If that isn’t something to be contested down to the last sinew, you tell me what is. more worthwhile for "(ha-ha) “American Democracy.”

Conventions and Coronations don’t win elections.
Ask President Dewey.

You mention ONE minor accomplishment — But no list of anything of major impact for the people — I will help you … There isn’t any — Now, back under the bridge with you or you’ll miss your nap time —

After eight years of the devastation that the Bush administration brought about, you have the effing nerve to post that total crap?

Life is better in America, after eight short years. Upward and onward with Democratic leadership.

You’re funny. Shaq is not running for President. He is not going to be setting regulations for Goldman Sachs.

Can you tell the difference?

Yes I can tell the difference. Now too bad you can’t tell the difference in that both where paid the same amounts for the same reasons (celebrity guest speaker) and those fees will have the same impact on “corrupting” financial regulations.

None.

If someone has the ability to read through this drivel and summarize any rational points being made – please tell me.
I did skip to the last two sentences which do make sense, at least grammatically. The problem is that they are just wrong – there was no and is no a coronation. Clinton is winning a competitive election fair and square.

Give it to Warren … she will be awesome in ways he can never hope for.

I am pretty confident that Hillary wasn’t talking about basketball…

Clinton 1 repealed Glass–Steagall. What does Hillary want to do? She probably discussed it in her speeches. Why won’t she release them?

The GOP has been downright friendly to Bernie, because they’d love to have him as the nominee. Right now Republicans are an incredible fan base for him.

What I always find amusing is that when Sanders finally answered how he would break up the banks, he pointed to Dodd-Frank, the law Clinton wants to strengthen and build on (like passing the Volker rule). Yet in the Derp™-world of georgeh and numerous other fauxgressive posters that gets transmogrified into “in the pocket of Wall-Street darling”.

I’m contesting the contestation and very vigorously and vehemently at that.

Bernie is hoping for a miracle, waiting on the email indictment and for the Hillary supporters to come to their senses and realize that whatever this outsider thing is that he’s doing, it’s the way.
But then, Bernie could keel over from exhaustion, constant flaming is very tiring, and he could have issues between now and then that would stop him dead in his tracks also too.

At the rate that Bernie is going, not a single super delegate will vote for him and his anti-Democratic Party message, and they shouldn’t. Sanders would be more popular at a Shriner’s convention.

Yep. Even dropping money and ads attacking Clinton “from the left” on Sanders behalf.

Republicans bowed down to their ideologues. Look where that got them.

And I am 100% confident that she will pursue tighter regulations of Wall Street and strengthen Dodd-Frank, the law Sanders finally admitted was the way to reign in systemic risk financial institutions. Of course Clinton is also looking beyond actual banks to the so-called “shadow banking system” which needs to be regulated so as not to threaten the economy, the financial system, etc.

But of course if you weren’t a kool-aide drinking faux-progressive troll, you would know this.

Of course I’m correct.

And you weren’t, until I called you on it.

You also implied that Sanders opposed the drone program. You were wrong about that as well.

The other crap that you threw into your reply does not make your earlier statements less wrong.

ROFL.

You realize there were literally thousands of people attending these speeches and none of them have said anything like that was in her speeches.

Troll harder.

Maybe that’s Bernie’s problem – he missed the start of the revolution:

But if he plays his cards right this year, he might get on the good graces of this woman, who seems ready for big things:
