Unfortunately, one of the things the far Left doesn’t quite get is when some people in this country hear the word revolution, they take it very literally. As in “Third World” literally. Yes, the majority of Sanders’ supporters understand that it’s a revolution at the ballot box. But not all.

I don’t think TPM needs to play into the media narrative and fill up the entire page with articles about this shooting. Nobody died here (except the shooter it appears). There’s an active shooting in SF today where people may have reportedly died. Why should that get less coverage? We should be saddened and outraged when this happens to any American, not just politicians. When the Portland incident happened, I didn’t see wall to wall coverage about violence in our society. All this tragedy proves is that politicians are not immune from what Americans have to deal with every day. The debate really ought to be whether politicians feel any more understanding or compassion for the millions of Americans who have clamored for common sense gun control to avoid incidents like the one that happened today.
