Bernie reminds me of the Japanese soldiers who were stranded on some desert island in the Pacific and didn’t know that WWII had ended and the world had moved on.
It’s over, Bernie. Now, shut the fuck up and try to preserve whatever good feelings people may still have for you.
Funny, isn’t it, how being a member of the Democratic Party gets you preferential treatment by the Democratic Party? By Bernie Sanders’ logic, Mitt Romney should have gotten a committee slot at the 2012 Democratic convention.
What’s going on is Bernie was demanding way too much leverage and control at the convention for someone who, you know…actually lost. His intentions were to try and craft rules, lay out, and platform to be entirely his, and force Hillary to run as him. And he that idea got laughed out of the room.
When you are losing a campaign, but have hopes of influencing the party after your defeat, its generally a bad strategy to start pissing all over the party and the winner. Actions have consequences, though pretty much everything in Bernie’s history indicates that he doesn’t think they should be applied to him.
Show me a Sanders supporter who started out as a phone banker and door knocker, worked their way up to precinct captain, county chairperson, and eventually into the state party leadership. Then I’ll say yeah, their hard work should maybe be honored with a spot at the convention.
his ambition has always been to take over and take down the Democratic Party. the evidence is obvious most obvious Bernie has never been is not now a democrat. His entire life has been one of dissatisfaction. Professional Protestor release the 2015 taxes how much did Jane the Senior Advisor get paid from those $27 poor working class contributors Bernie??
Jane took her entire family for a week end in Rome private jet all her kids and grand kids how grand lol cost to those poor working class donors $1MM yeah one million hard to believe
Well, there was the mayor in PA who was running for the Senate seat. He was the first public official to endorse Bernie. And for that great show of support he got…
…absolutely nothing. Bernie’s campaign won’t return his calls, refused to fund raise for him, refused to even give him access to their email lists. Wouldn’t even offer up a return endorsement.
That’s what really pisses me off, and shows me that Sanders is not the selfless saint a lot of supporters say he is. If he truly cared about his agenda, supporting Clinton fully and calling on his supporters to do the same would practically force her and the Democratic Party to embrace more of Sanders’ policy prescriptions. But it seems Sanders just wants to piss off more Dems. And having that “Trump would be better for the REVOLUTION!” attitude in their thinking like Sarandon said is the same as hitting the crack pipe 24 hours a day.
More whaaaaaa…Hasn’t he got something better to complain about? Its always a rigged system. Give it up Senator. You’re embarrassing yourself and making it harder and harder to distinguish you from tRump with these types of complaints.
Bern is in the position where he has to make such arguments now. His fundraising slowed down. HRC’s poll numbers in CA and NJ are ticking up. From today to the convention,May 17th will probably be the high watermark for Bern. That’s the day of the Oregon primary which he is expected to win. That’s also the day of the Kentucky Primary too. HRC won the southern part of Indiana which borders with KY. Kentucky is a closed primary and the Clintons have deep ties to KY Democrats. They both campaigned in the state for Allison Grimes. In terms of pledged delegates,May 17th will probably be about an even split making the math even worse for Bern in June. CA is an expensive state to campaign in too. Bern supporters best double up their $27/month donations if they want him to finish strong. Hanging around college campuses in CA and NJ probably ain’t gonna do it.
DWS to Bernie: Your supporters will be given enough positions to be heard. So will Hillary’s. I will fill the remainder of the slots with people who have worked in the Party for years, doing my best to see that the party’s outside allies are suitably represented. That’s how we do things around here. Changing the rules on the basis of one contender’s view of his polls is no part of my duties. Nor is it part of my duty to enable you to tie things up in knots if you throw a tantrum because you are losing. So insist away. Unless you can convince a majority of the delegates, including the super delegates that is the way it will be.
Bernie is extremely territorial about “his” positions. He doesn’t want Hillary, or anybody else, running on them…their his, and only he can tout them. When he moved on the House after being mayor in Burlington, he not only refused to endorse any other candidate, including progressive independents, he got down right angry when asked about who he would endorse, telling one reporter to “Fuck Off”…a reporter from a progressive outlet, no less.
I hope the DNC remembers all this when Bernie runs for re-election in Vermont. Seems to me, a real Democrat like Howard Dean would be a great choice for the seat.
“But … but … but … the real revolution is to make Hillary say progressive things !!!”
It’s amazing how some idiots believe Clinton’s campaign rhetoric is more important for progressive causes than winning Congress or State Houses. It’s all empty sybolims for these people, not winning. Scott Walker got to implement his extreme agenda by winning his office, not by making John McCain say things in 2008.
