Discussion: Sanders Complains About ThinkProgress Coverage, Blames Parent Think Tank

Shouldn’t Barr be having the FBI wander over to the WH to interview the occupant who made the threatening tweet against a sitting Congresswoman, make sure he’s not an unstable threat who should be taken into custody?

Yeah, that’s a very Trumpian line right there:

“I will be informing my grassroots supporters of the foregoing concerns that I have about the role CAP is playing.”

“Will no one rid me of this troublesome CAP?”

“Russia, if you’re listening, can you hack ThinkProgress?”-- he might as well have said it outright.

Prediction: Within six months we’ll learn that Sanders has a higher net worth than Trump.

Boring old grouch. As thin skinned as The Donald, Except Donald aspires to be The Class Clown of the USA and get everyone to laugh at whomever he targets while Sanders doesn’t even have that much of a purchase on the audience.

Brittle Bernie.

Heh. We’re finally seeing more real Bernie. By the time this campaign is done he won’t have a soul left - not even any bros, the way things are going.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving old fake.

Sorry you have a problem with the first amendment, Bernie; why don’t you file suit like Devin Nunes is doing?

TPM needs to specify in its headlines which of the thin-skinned Sanders it is reporting on.

“This counterproductive negative campaigning needs to stop,”
Save it to yourself, please.
So accurate, need not even change a word.

Remove key words and it could be mistaken for Trump

No, Sanders isn’t Unser Drumpfenfuhrer–he is actually intelligent and, as far as I know, he is not a racist, a xenophobe, or sadistically cruel. But…he is a thin skinned, whining septuagenarian with a nasty disposition, an aversion to compromise, and a sense of entitlement as wide as a football field. It drives me crazy to no end that this guy showily refuses to actually join the Democratic Party, but becomes enraged at any Democrats who refuse to kowtow to him and hand him the party’s nomination by acclamation. For many of these reasons, I think he would be a lousy candidate (especially against Dear Leader) and a worse president. And his apparent opposition to ending the filibuster and belief that he could actually get 60 votes for his various economic and health care proposals (which would have difficulty achieving 50 votes even if Democrats are fortunate enough to narrowly gain control of the Senate) is almost comically naive (assuming these are sincere positions).

And the cherry on top? I am pretty convinced that, if he doesn’t get the nomination, he and his cultist followers would prefer to blow up the party and its nominee to elect Unser Drumpfenfuhrer than gracefully accept defeat and work to help the ticket.

This is laughable. A few observations:

  • If Bernie is afraid of the very mild mannered Neera Tanden, that’s a pretty decent sign that he can’t handle what the GOP will throw at him.
  • Bernie is stuck in a 2016 mindset. His opponents will be quite glad to let him stay there.
  • This will encourage more scrutiny of what is in his tax returns. I don’t care that he has made a lot of money. He is being hoisted on his own petard a bit for demonizing the Clintons’ wealth while he was getting rich. That’s part of the game and he has to deal with it. I am more interested in sources of income and the relationship between him and Our Revolution, the Sanders Institute and perhaps other left leaning organizations that he may have financial relationships with. I also want to know about the source of contributions to these organizations.
  • I also think it is high time Bernie faced scrutiny for poor judgment in allowing his campaign to be dupes for Russian interference. It remains hard for me to believe that his campaign did not have constructive if not active knowledge of what the Russians were doing and simply chose to ride that train because it helped them attack HRC and keep the campaign afloat. It is inconceivable to me that Tad Devine did not immediately recognize what the Russians were doing given the close relationships he has with Paul Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnick, one of whom is in jail and the other is under a Federal indictment.

Rather than be intimidated by Sanders’ obvious whining, folks should double down and demand answers from him.

Stop the negative counterproductive campaigning.

Says the guy who told his supporters Hillary was unqualified to be president, while he was well behind in votes in the primary.
