"The fool doth think he is wise; the wise man knows himself to be a fool." â Shakespeare

It is true Neo-Nazis have the right to express their opinions peacefully. There, I said it.
Now TPM can run a headline saying Iâve defended Neo-Nazis I guess.
My Dog, how does he keep getting away with this? It is an indicator of the monumental stupidity of the Trumpites that what a normal person would see as outrageous and deceptive would go right over their heads. He often says things they believe and wonât admit openly, so that is part of how he sucks them in.
Sacha Baron Cohen Gets Corey Lewandowski To Defend Neo-Nazis
easy , would be more difficult to make him attack Neo-NazisâŚ
These interviews were likely all conducted in a very short period of time. Itâs not as if Lewandowski agreed to sit down with Cohen several weeks after a couple of other previous debacles were widely publicized. Yes, why the hell they fall for it in the moment is puzzling, but I highly doubt any incarnation of Cohen could get away with these shenanigans with any prominent wingnut today. If he could that wingnutâs staff deserves to be taken out back and shot.
Yeah, I may not like him or the people heâs talking about much, but saying âif the law says they have the right to do it, they have the right to do itâ isnât exactly much of a âgotchaâ.
If anything, Iâd be more worried about the people saying that just because you donât like their message, you can infringe on their free speech. You canât. You can, however, compete with speech of your own. Preferably within earshot, and louder.
Trump: My thoughts exactly. I am so proud of Corey.
These guys are basically qualified to work as doormen at cheap tacky Casinos. That is the Trump hiring MO.
The Republican party has been taken over by low GPA graduates of some of our lowest colleges in the countryâŚLewandowski struggled as a Poli Sci major at UMass Lowell and required tutoring to graduate. Devin Nunes attended community college to earn credits so he could finally be accepted to US San Louis ObispoâŚwhere he was an agriculture major and needed 3 years to earn 2 years of credits. Nunes also enjoyed and sold cocaine at UCSLO during his undergrad. and one year of grad. You have these terrible students from low life programs now running and speaking for the Republican PartyâŚincluding Trump.
In some settings Iâm dubious even of that response. If Obama agreed to meet with a group of senior citizens in a group home to discuss health care I really donât think a half dozen opponents of the ACA shouting loudly and continuously throughtout his talk, to the point the whole meeting needs called to a halt and canceled, is a desirable exercise of the 1st Amendment. Legal maybe. Something to be recommended, lauded and defended? I think not.
I think you over-estimate the ability of wingnuts to learnâanything. After all, with Ali G, Borat, and Bruno, Cohen has been doing his thing for a long time. Any marginally competent wingnut staff member would already have been aware of this.
These guys didnât bother to vet Sacha Baron Cohen before getting into these ridiculous situations. They get a call to come on tv, they hear the right words and phrases, and they are off to do an interview. No vetting required.
Once they get on these shows, they are completely outclassed.
San Luis Obispo is not a UC. It is a Cal State. Nunes is a dairy farmer in the Central Valley, Tulare or Visalia.
The ACLU said as much in the Skokie case, so youâre in good company. We need to hammer home two things: People have the right to peaceably say whatever they like, and the people who disagree with them have the right to peaceably shame the fuck out of them in response.
The government canât âinfringe on their free speech.â The rest of us are entitled to boo and shout counter slogans and throw epithets all we want. Throwing physical objects, however, is not free speech, no matter who does it.
I donât feel that neo-nazis deserve respect. I think it is fine that they are attacked in the media.
Shakespeare was aware of the Dunning-Kruger effectâŚ
They all stared at the sun too long
